Of my 5 midterms, I have 4 As and a D-. Perspective!

So my cousin has gotten really into raving and trying out the drugs that came with it, became a real whore from what I can tell

My sister lost 3 jobs in the last 3 months and is in college for a business degree, her end game dream being a manager for bands

My sisters friend got ran over by a car last night when she was drinking and walking around downtown. Nothing to serious, just busted bother he knees and a torn shoulder, doctors say she'll be fine

While I kind of laugh in the corner as my cousin's family used to berate my parents for
1) "letting me" buy a new car rather than a used one (had no issues, two tickets both waived for stupid pomegranate mind you) while my other cousin has had two accidents.
2) Not forcing me to go to college immediately after high school and decided to get a job instead

Then my sister being the cocky arrogant prick she is finally realizing that the decisions I made were not because I'm a loser, stupid, or lazy but I actually had a strategy.

All and all, instead of being the black sheep for not doing the standard college struggle, I'm becoming more of the "Why can't you be more like your cousin/brother". Oh how glorious.

I went into work this evening cos some coworkers dressed up for Halloween, and me & some regular customers had Graveyard cake and shots of whiskey that tasted like Red Hots and and it was a good time.

Got tested for HIV today, result was negative thank god. That wave of relief was much needed.

I ate a lot of sweets today. At work, people were just passing around sweets like no tomorrow. One of my coworkers was wearing a pretty dress fitted with a corset - poor woman complained that she felt queasy after eating a bit because the corset was pushing her food.

So there was this really cool Bat decoration about 10 feet behind me. Yeah, turns out it wasn't decoration and caused all the females to run out of the office.

Skipped class to go to starbucks and work on other homework instead.

I don't usually skip BUT... I literally have a 100% in the class and attendance is only 7% of the grade. Surely one day missed won't count for much, if anything.

Also, probably getting a cat soon, and I'm excited! Stephen's never owned a cat before so this is gonna be fun. Went to the local SPCA yesterday and fell in love with 3 or 4 of them. Deciding on just one will be hard

At work my night and weekend CEM approached me about possibly taking her job after the holidays. She told me that she will most likely be getting a promotion or moved to another store, and out of her work team she told the store manager she thinks I'd be the best pick for the job. Though I feel like I could easily do the job after basically doing it for a year, without the title, back in Houston, I was extremely honored. Feels good to be told that you are super fab at your job and you know what the pineapple you're doing compared to everyone else. Even more so I was surprised seeing as I'm a relative "newbie" to this store. I told her I feel that I am capable, I am just worried about stepping up into a management position with school picking up pace. I still think I can handle it though, more money, relative same hours, and I'd be able to put "management experience" on my resume finally.

Just, after losing so much faith in Michaels and developing so much animosity, makes me feel good about my job again yo.

[SPOILER=research methods professor's comments on my work]Great work. You didn't have to submit the acutal data. By the looks of things, you have everything you need to do your own research. I am wondering if you have thought about going on to graduate school? You seem to have what it takes to succeed if that is where your interest lie. Let me know if you would like to talk about it sometime.

My research methods professor who also happens to teach grad school economics thinks I should at least think about going to grad school.
