A Better Maple

I voted on every question and a lot of them were instant 5-star for obvious reasons. Some of the questions weren't needed IMO.

This. Also some questions were outdated, such as "Why aren't cubes dropping from bosses"

Alright guys, who wants to be the inevitable pessimist here?

C'mon, I don't want to have to be that guy.

hi there!

okay, so the biggest problem would be if we got exactly what "we" want.

It's really disturbing just how high the ratings are, especially for that second question. Why are these people even playing an MMO?

Going by the last time this happened, I'm not very optimistic about them answering the majority of the 4+ star questions.

Still nice to see the questions about how everything nowadays requires SoK/PsoK/Sharing Tag, shared Cash Shop inventories, botched boss drops, all the useless lines in the Potential system, and the stupid change to Inner Ability.

I highly see them avoiding the Cash Shop inventories and boss drops issues all together though.

Arguably the most positive thing Nexon has done since BB to actually fix this game. It's awesome that nexon is finally mentioning what have been elephants-in-the-room for years.

Never mind, I think I was hasty with my post and didn't fully comprehend the concept of the microsite.

Since Nexon is giving us this opportunity, I think every Mapler who concerned for the well-being of the game rates these concerns. I just hope Nexon actually follows through with this endeavor, and it isn't something that will simply be short term.

Can't believe people are STILL upset over the loss of LHC Party Play for it to warrant a 3.8 score.

I've figured it out now actually.
Most of these people don't actually want a party play zone.
They want a "attack solo but with a full party of leechers to increase the EXP gained" zone.

I'd like to be positive about this, but in my opinion, this is simply hype building. They'll announce some of the questions "answered" in the form of the RED update, and basically say "Well, you asked us, and we gave you SOME stuff", and the rest of the stuff (notably everything but the things answered in the RED update) will be completely ignored.

I'll bet you anything they will pick and choose their answers regardless of the overall voting, and around half of them will be jokey answers, like about the Black Mage being an NPC.

Half of it will be stuff we are already getting in RED, a quarter of it will be troll answers and the other quarter might be a few tidbits about unimportant pomegranate.

I think the majority actually want a "place I can hang onto rope and gain EXP" zone.

I took the time to fill out the questionnaire, but I don't expect any real answers or action coming from Nexon. In fact, Nexon claims they stopped being pay-to-win 10 years ago.

' Wrote:"If you make a game where you can't realistically progress in a game and still have fun without paying money, that's not a free-to-play game. That's an ersatz free-to-play game," Mahoney said, adding, "We made that same mistake 10 years ago. It was a big mistake, and we stopped doing it."

MapleStory is a video game first and a MMO second.

People want to solo a party quest? Do they even realize the level of contradiction in just saying that? However forget the dumb players, I'm actually pretty annoyed by the existence of this survey to begin with. The fact that they acknowledge these things implies that they obviously have been paying attention all along but have outright refused to address any of them simply because they didn't feel the need to. It's easy to assume that they are oblivious to a lot of things, but they had enough sense to be able to pinpoint so many things that people complain about and in doing so are admitting that all of these are now "known issues". Don't they realize that the fact there is such an insanely long list of gripes is embarrassing? The final question should have been "have we caused you to consider quitting due to taking this survey?"

Except wasn't all this info compiled quite recently by the community itself? (Southperry among them)

From what I can remember, the fansites and the maple forums compiled questions and issues and gave them to Aurtax, who passed them along to Nexon, hence this survey. They might not have even been aware of some of these issues (for whatever reasons). They fact that they have even mentioned them is honestly surprising.

Didn't know that but I did add an edit about their admissions, because admitting these things is the biggest deal here. They can't just act like this is a list of "possible" things people "might" care about and they're just honest brokers here doing us a favor by answering some of them. I wonder how many they didn't put in for whatever reason.

And btw, some of these things are actually pretty funny to see on here, such as the Coco card. For god's sake, just fix it lol. Do we need a global survey to find out whether a year old simple bug should be fixed?

I find it weird that people are against the whole "Solo PQ" stuff when in WoW, people solo raids, dungeons that are/were meant for 10/25/40 people, all the time due to the power creep.
I see this as the same scenario. The power creep in Maple can allow people to do the same thing, but they can't.
