Endangered Monsters

bio9205 Wrote:K thanks. Did Nexon Korea add the Time Temple monsters as well? Oh, and u said u can buy cards which u missed. Do u "buy" it with mesos or completing a quest? Excellent

Oh, and u may want to add Fierry to the list. I was doing this Orbis quest the other day and couldnt find much... Its like only one-per-map.

AND GET ON-TOPIC GUYS.

Buying cards was for the 5th KMS anniversary event; you could buy the cards with "maple leaves" that mobs dropped.

Fierry now live in Elinia's North Tree Dungeons, with 3 spawning per map.

There were also 3 of them at Golem Temple, but yeah. I mentioned them in the first post as being obviously rare (along with Jr. Boogie)

I think we won't need to worry about the spawn of these monsters being ruined for a while. If this was just in KMS, and they've had monster book for a while, and we might just be getting monster book, we'll have months to get these cards before "WHOOPS EARTHQUAKE"

I don't think this will affect my decision to get the monster cards in order of level :o

I can see Monster Cards being given out by Gachapon in GMS, just like CWK Quest Items currently are. lol

But are monster cards items, so to speak? It'd be like giving out cPQ Pots. :f6:

Yeah it wont happen, mainly because of the fact that right when you loot them they get put into your book, so it wouldnt make much sense since it doesnt have an item slot to distribute itself to.

And nobody would gach for them anyway, you can hunt most of them except PQ bosses and horntail, if anything I can see HT/Zak cards being sold by helm/pendant sellers, though I dont really know the droprate xD

Correct me if I'm wrong but they're just activate-on-pickup Use items, aren't they? After all, we have had CPQ pots being given out before (All-cures in the Raven shop - don't know if it's still like that, though)

They are, but if you had one in your inventory (somehow) and clicked it, it'd probably just give you the buff. Cards are also marked untradeable so you couldn't drop it and pick it up. I don't think this would happen even if it did work because cards are only helpful for the first 5.

I just realised something. If normal Monster Book cards are rare, wouldnt Zakum/HT/PinkBeen cards be uber-rare? I mean, u can only fight them like twice a day, and they take a REALLY long time to kill.

Another thing: for HT, do the 2 preliminary heads drop cards? Also, for pap, does Papulatus Clock (the non flying one) drop cards after it dies?

Bosses have higher rates, I think.

Same here...

Only Pap, Zakum, Pianus, Horntail, and probably Pink Been have decent drop rate for their card.

King Slime = Nah, too hard.

All other PQ boss cards = Too hard to get.

this doesn't pertain to the new map edits but i can see with the current droprate of crimson wood and the phantom seeds that those could be potentially very annoying cards to obtain....

They did NOT make Cards drop at the same rate... did they? Rate per kill, I mean. Time wise is fine, but same rate per kill is going to be murder... Tongue

I've been thinking about this and I'm not sure if the trees would drop cards. I'm not sure why but I get the feeling they won't.

There has been no indication that they drop at an improved rate from bosses.

Are these cards tradeable?

They instantly go into the book and never enter your item inventory. They're consumed on pickup like CPQ pots.

Short answer: No.

Well, I'm pretty sure they're technically not items... once you pick them up, they automatically go directly into your monster book, where you can't take them out. Calling someone to your map to pick up a card that just dropped from a monster is probably as tradeable as they get.

Edit: beat to it

Shame, oh how many "My monster cards bring all the Maple-ers to the yard" jokes we could have. :[

Being able to stock up and trade would be nice. Dx Sucks when no one's on and you get a 6th+ card from something.
