Community Manager possibly fired/quit?

Well his "community project" is gone. His actual personal/blog site that is mostly focused on MapleStory is still up.

The pomegranate's really hitting the fan everywhere now. I wonder what's next...

He confirmed on official forums that he's not going to waste his time trying to make MapleStory better. I suggested that he goes over to League of Legends.
What's next? I heard this famous blogger/persona named Goates is quitting and selling her stuff via a certain site.

I really liked Aurtax! He visited me during one of my streams for a few hours ;~; it was almost as nice as Girasol visiting me ingame.

Oh, and if you are going to compare Aurtax to someone, compare him to Hime. They more or less held the same position.

Poor Aatrox, I hardly knew him. : (

Mainly copypasta from what I said on the forums, but after becoming aware of the scenario, I'm just too disappointed in them.

Well, I think I've decided I'm done having any involvement with MapleStory anymore because of this. I've continued to see one disappointment after another with matters not even relating to the game itself.

I'll likely still be around on the forums, but I no longer have any will to touch MapleStory anymore. I can't support anything like this. I need to emotionally detach myself from it.

i dunno how famous she is (she's quite well known though, that much i know) but yep, she's quitting and hard.

They did. They were both Senior Community Managers.

People often thought Girasol was also the CM once Hime left but she was in Production.
Her job involved dealing with the Cash Shop, interacting with devs, planning, etc.

Since there was no CM for a while, I guess she kind of took on that job as well.

This is sad to hear. Nexon/Maplestory is going through a really rough patch at the moment. Though admittedly it's partly their fault for being a bad company.

I don't know what happened to Aurtax, and I don't really care. I didn't know him very well but he seemed pretty nice. I wish him luck in whatever he does next.

They've been targeting the players for months now. It's just an ongoing shitstorm.

Before this, I was jaded about the state of the game while still hesitant to declare that the game would die in the next year or so. I figured somebody (who calls the shots) at Nexon would have the brains to realize that Maple isn't doing so hot and that it's time to change direction.

Now? I think Maple has as much of a chance of surviving as a man who has had all his limbs hacked off. By himself.

Not sure how that really improves things. At most it shows that Nexon learned to PR a little. It doesn't actually guarantee our next CM will be nearly as forthcoming or invested in the community.

EDIT: So that I don't just end on a completely negative note - we'll see what the new CM will be like... who knows.

Turns out Aurtax has be forced to leave Nexon. What a surprise.

That's a bit sad to hear.. I just hope he left for personal reasons than Nexon America firing..
