You still really shouldn't have left the game, though.

This game makes me unnecessarily angry when people rage when your team is losing.
My Garen starts raging, saying "suck my plantain" to me and "I pineappleed your mom so hard that it's the reason your mother is dead now. Then I pineappleed you." Seriously?! Who says things like this?! I replied he's gonna get far in life for raging over a game and he begins telling me he's a college football player with good grades and just banged a girl last night. Good for you. Likewise, I hate people who taunt the losing team. Why do people take this game so seriously? Take your defeats as a lesson, and your victories in silence.
2013-10-07, 05:09 PM
Ha ha ha that's funny.
(He totally isn't a college football player with good grades and just got laid). Just don't take it seriously. Either laugh at the ridiculousness of the situation of the situation or come up with something wittier, or just mute.
2013-10-07, 05:21 PM
I totally forgot about the mute function.
I probably would have taken it seriously if the dead mother part was true though.
2013-10-07, 05:31 PM
...ah. I guess you shouldn't have mentioned that, then
. I have a couple of crappy retorts in my head right now, but I'm not sure if you'd like any of them. I think what you would like though is keeping track of all the people you hate on an ignore list. Then, on one particularly bored day you can go and lolking them and laugh at how your rank is higher than 90% (or even 100%!) of that list. Ragers never get far, whether it be in real life or League of Legends (you did also report him, right?)
2013-10-07, 05:38 PM
No haha, that's going overboard. Your advice about not taking people seriously is sound.
My mother isn't passed. I'm just apalled that someone would say something like that in the off chance it's actually true for the person, and I read it in the context of a rape victim or something. I just imagined people using their brain to mouth filters better. Apparently not

I can't really express my anger anymore then the fact I've been at 90-95 pts 6 times in a row..only to have an afker or a intentional feeder for shits and giggles. Just the one game I need to make it to series. But nope. And today wasn't any better....so many people afk in rank it's ridicolous. So now im at 0 pts pineapple...there has to be..a way to make up for that. As Akali says, 'Will match making ever find true balance'

I'm not even angry right now I just don't understand.
So much faith in humanity is just...lost completely. Sona tries to all in a half health zyra while I'm level 1 and she almost dies in the process. She then spends the next 20 minutes calling me a "worthless noob of a nigger" (emphasis on the nigger. I'm fairly certain that it's the only word she knew) while sitting at our base doing next to nothing. Cho gives up trying to win a few minutes into the game Lissandra was probably the only sane one And Renekton (although he was winning for quite a while) just kept calling the entire team a noob And yet at the end of the game the entire loss was my fault when the only thing I did was try and reasonably cooperate with sona/cho. I just I can't I went into the game saying "no matter what happens I'll just stay positive and try and cooperate with the team as much as I can" and yet apparently the entire game's loss was my fault? I don't even understand how the sona could be that toxic. I wish I had a chatlog for everything she said because I've just lost every ounce of my faith in humanity and this game.

Note: none of those were relevant to anything I ever said to him so I assume he was a troll. Not that the Diana was doing any better though. He was 0/8/3, so it was just me and Nasus carrying the team. I sincerely hope Riot takes bans seriously. If you can't commit to something you voluntarily signed up for, then please don't do it! Can't wait until I hit level 30 so things like this don't happen (as often). ![]() I've been using ARAM as a reliever lately though. Bad PVP Game? ARAM time.

I have a friend right now who's Plat because we've been duoing, but I've carried him more times than he carried me, but I'm in Gold I. But you can't change what teammates you get aside from dodging. So what can you change? 1) If you're duo queueing, having the duo queue both go in the bot lane is the worst possible thing you can do. All you and your duo queue can do is influence one lane. 2) Just picking up Sona now? Really? Also, good for dropping Lulu, since she's sub-optimal right now, but dropping Thresh? Something tells me your champion pool could be better, not to mention I don't think you know your lane matchups and pairings extremely well. Godlike supports for carrying low Gold/Silver botlane at the moment are Zyra, Thresh, and Sona, and possibly Blitzcrank if you know what you're doing. (Some people say Janna too...course of that's your playstyle then go ahead). Virtually everyone else is medium-tier and I wouldn't recommend playing unless you are GODLIKE MADLIFE 1337 with them. With just Zyra, Thresh, and Sona though you already have your bases covered for lane matchups AND teamcomp for your team. Now for your series. Don't worry if you lose the promos. If you win just one you'll head right back in since your mmr is high enough.

At the risk of making my previous post longer/sounding like a silver player who thinks he'd godlike, I omitted all the details of my actual gameplay. In short, I only started playing Sona because I figured that every enemy bot lane in Silver relied on getting Sona to withstand (I don't want to sound cocky here but whatever) how good my duo partner and I are. I have probably around 300+ games played as Lulu alone (I want to say 75% of my games are games as support and I can say I am pretty well off with most of them, the "support lineup" I gave in my previous post was just my "most played" list (100+ games at least)), but I still opted for Sona because we realized that Silver players could only beat us if they used both her and Caitlyn in the same lane, so we stole that every game and no matter what, we come out of lane with at least 5 kills. When I say come out of lane I mean, by 8 minutes the enemy tower is gone, my duo is up at least three+ kills and 30+ CS on the enemy ADC, and I am already roaming around warding to set up for getting objectives in other lanes. On the off chance that that did not happen in a particular game it was because the enemy jungler and mid would roam bottom, and every time that happens we usually come out of it with a kill or two and a middle turret. It would only take a walk back to bot lane afterwards and another three minutes or so to continue taking the turret, get dragon, hope top lane is not stuck too far behind for whatever reason, get their turret, roam mid, get tier 2, and eventually win.
As for me just recently picking up Sona: I have always known how strong of a champion she is, but honestly did not want to ever play her because of how godawful boring she is to play (it's not like it's "difficult" to pick her up anyway). I used to want to have some fun playing more satisfying, higher-skill-requiring supports in ranked, but I now see no reason for me to play any other of the multitude of supports I can play but Sona in Silver. She is just too rewarding for being so low-risk of a pick, that doubles as denying her from the enemy team. I do understand lane matchups well enough that, under the assumption that the enemy team is actually competent enough to play the champions well, accommodations can be made; from my experience, it's just not necessary in Silver. The most coordinated I've seen so far from an enemy bot lane is an Ashe/Zyra who would attempt to chain CC, but instead blow both of their ultimates at the least beneficial time (i.e. point blank ashe arrow whose stun duration existed only during the Stranglethorns knockup time); I've yet to see a competent Blitzcrank or a Thresh who would actually know when an engage with Q would actually result in a kill instead of rushing in to give us a double kill. Sorry if it sounded like I was refuting your post. Basically I just wanted to say that I was really salty about teammates not knowing when to capitalize on my plays on other supports (i.e. tanks running away when I would Wild Growth them, my own team running away from Stranglethorns, "what does nami do"). But when they hear that Crescendo go off on four people they know what to do, apparently. Meh. |
