Yeah, I had a nice big cavern in the Crimson area with 7-8 hearts nearby to pop. Made a 4 tier arena to hop around in to avoid him for the most part, between Jester arrows and the blood rain (or something spell I got from a heart) took him out pretty easy toggling between the two.

Also as a side-note, I've taken down the SP server until the Halloween update or so. No point in keeping it up when only 1-2 people are getting on to check for certain events and then getting off.

Probably for the best. I'm only on waiting for a Solar Eclipse, when one just so happened to pop up in my Single Player...no scythe.

Thank god. I mean I already got all the weapons, but at least redigit knew how fucking stupid it was just to afk farm for 6-8+ hours for ONE key, if even.

Built a moat of lava underneath my elevated house with ropes all over the place to navigate. Enormously amusing blood moons and goblin invasions ensued last night. Thought about building a dart trap pit instead, but eff it, lava that stuff up!

Are there any decent gold farm ideas for pre-hard mode? My afk shark/jellyfish farm seems to have been nerfed to some degree (jellyfish rarely drop anything now for me..)

Gold doesn't drop from statue spawns anymore. They still drop items and equipment though, but not any money.

Honestly, the best way is to keep summoning Eater of Worlds/Brain of Cthulhu or Eye of Cthulhu and sell all of the ore/bars. It's how I always make all my money before hardmode. You can easily rack up like several platinum before you start hardmode cause of that.

1.2.1 and 1.2.1.1 have already dropped today. Haven't had a chance to check the Halloween stuff yet.

Was able to "beat" the Pumpkin Event yesterday with my ranged character using Shroomite Rocket set with Stynger. It's some fun pomegranate, without a doubt the best piece of content in the game so far. I'm starting to seriously wonder how long Terraria will be updated with legit content at this point though. I feel like it's reaching its end pretty soon, though not saying that's necessarily a bad thing since it has to end EVENTUALLY. The gear and content is starting to get pretty ridiculous already so I can't imagine there's much room to progress.

Dunno how you can "beat" the Pumpkin event when it's endless. The content is ridiculously hard. I tried it with typical Spectre setup and only got to wave 13. I've read the Turtle melee setup is pretty OP as hell for this event.

Which is why I said "beat" it; i.e. I am able to get to Wave 15 (Final wave that never ends until dawn)

Oh I didn't realize there was only 15 waves. I thought it just went on til like Wave 1 billion.

Imagine when they implement more insane Hardmode Events. I've tried it myself using a Chrolophyte set and I did not live whatsoever. Is this honestly worth the blade? Because this is just ridiculous.

And on a random note:Server up anytime soon? Just wondering. Singleplayer gets boring now and then.
