It kind of is, though. It would have been really easy to fix, but they've just completely ignored it.

Admittedly, there must be SOMETHING going on in that office... been almost 3 hours since they said "lol extended" and not even an update yet....

They made an edit to their original update:

[Update] The maintenance has been extended. We are fixing server files that are causing an issue with the servers. Please check back for updates.

It isn't really a marketing ploy (or at least, not a successful one) because not only are they not outsmarting the people they're trying to sell product to (NX in general, though this topic refers specifically to philo books, gach, etc) as shown through multiple observations, they aren't going through any extra efforts than they normally would to sell those specific products or even NX as a whole. They aren't exploiting the situation by advertising more to manipulate people into buying boss drops. It's business as usual. Business just so happens to include a bit of a higher form of ignorance is all.

I don't buy it, the timing is too perfect, on top of the philo books being around FAR longer than they were previously. And ignorance shouldn't really apply here given how incredibly hard the players have been throwing this down their throats. They know damn well what is going on, and are refusing to do anything (or this was their plan all along).

I just don't understand how it could be intended anymore when they are CLEARLY shooting themselves in the foot.

But at the same time...how hard could it really be to fix if it were unintended? I just don't know anymore.

Especially when they, according to themselves, are doing nothing but the usual stuff and adding an event nobody even remotely wants.
