I can confirm that Honey and Sweet Scent will ALWAYS cause a Horde Battle to appear when used in tall grass, it doesn't work in flowers though.

I can also confirm that some pokemon in Horde Battles can have their Hidden Ability. I just found a Scraggy with it's hidden ability of Intimidate.
