I was assuming his tongue was a scarf, seeing how it wraps around his neck, and not his face like a mask does.

Dragon Poison would be cool, but the reasoning behind the typing is because the X-Y-Z trio seem to be based on Norse Mythology, Zygarde being Nidhogg.

Thats pretty good. Its missing a few though. (Latias/Latios, Victini, Meloetta). Leaves out Mew2 and Genesect, but I guess thats because they are altered by humans.

First of all Rayquaza is dragon/flying, not dragon/water.
Second of all, it's the "Sky high pokémon".
And third of all, it even has arms.

I see no resemblance to Jörmungandr outside of resembling a serpent somewhat.
Jörmungandr is a serpent that coils around the earth deep underwater. And if they wanted to make both Fenrir and Jörmungandr into legendaries then they most definitely also need to make Hel into a legendary as well(Last bit is opinion, obviously, but i think it'd be lame to only make two of the three of Loki's kids into legendaries).

We've had humanoid legendaries before and there's plenty of humanoid pokémon.

Also i just pointed out that rayquaze should've been dragon/water and not dragon/air if you wanted a dragon that resembled the Jörmungandr.
Also during ragnarok he doesn't poison the sky from what i remember, AFAIK it meets Thor in battle and after Thor kills the serpent he dies after nine steps due to the poison of the serpent. Sure water/poison would fit it better, i agree fully.

They could always just make it Ice/Dark because it's a wolf without a specific mythology reason.

Rayquaza:

Rayquaza is most likely based on the Hebrew legends of Ziz, the unconquerable primal master of the sky. Its counterparts were Behemoth and Leviathan. Rayquaza's appearance also draws inspiration from other creatures of myth such as the Asian dragon and lindworm. Alternatively, Rayquaza matches the description of the Aztec god Quetzalcoatl, who was depicted as a flying serpent, and created the boundary between the earth (including the oceans) and the sky.

There are more legends than just norse legends ya know.

Also this has to be one of the most hilarious (and absolutely pathetic) things I've ever seen: some instagrammers have been spreading around a fake "Confirmation" by Nintendo that everything leaked so far has been from a fake version of the game, sent out as a decoy, and that the REAL game is different. they also adamantly claim that Delphox isn't real, because it doesn't match up with the silhouette of a confirmed fake.


So much butthurt, so much tears. It's like people who deny the holocaust, just.. ya know, not as serious.

The worst part is that people are actually believing this.

Perhaps it doesn't make them good against dragons, but it does address some of their weaknesses. for example Mr. Mime now has a counter against dark types, and pokemon like Jigglypuff and Granbull now have a counter to Fighting types.

And maybe it'll help update some other movepools somewhere by giving them a fairy type attack. A lot of pokémon could benefit from a way to deal with dragon, dark and fight.
