The Legend of Korra - Book 2: Spirits

[COLOR="#008080"]This show....I watch the 1st episode of season 2 and then I watch the other episode and felt as if it was 20 minutes. Good thing I didn't start watching/catching up in the middle of November. xD

I wonder what Jinora learns in the temple....*reads the other comments above this one* o3o[/COLOR]

Okay, was it just me, or was that quite possibly the best episode yet?

I loved how heavy and dark that it was! I love how this show has evolved to be more...adult. yet at the same time, there was just enough lightheartedness to make me laugh and enjoy the characters.

At the trial though, I was absolutely shocked when the judge gave them the death sentence. However, once it came back from commercial and Unalaq 'plead' with the judge to reconsider, that's when I knew that he really was evil. That was too easy to change his mind.

I think where it's going now is that Unalaq mentioned that he didn't need Korra to open the Northern Spirit portal; I think it's been open all along. If what he says is true, about being able to travel freely between the North and the South, is that if they end up continuing to the North, Unalaq will already be prepared for them there. or worse, Unalaq will travel to the North through the portal, and get troops to follow him through the portal to get a good sneak attack to the South. The South will be watching the port, not their backsides....

Overall I think that was the best episode of Korra yet, hands down. Just the right blend of humour, character, tense moments and amazing animation.

I was worried that this civil war plotline was going to be dragged out forever, and that the characters wouldn't recognize the guy as a villain, i'm so glad Korra's hotheadedness completely averted that.
Eska is still absolute comedy gold. i'm expecting to see some incredible water bending from her.

Guys, is anyone else getting a "Legend of Aang" vibe from the end of that episode? As far as I know, getting the help of the United-whatever requires travelling the world, and now they have someone chasing after them too (Eska = Zuko). If so, this is going to be amazing

You know what I think about Eska?
Knowing that now Korra & Friends must go to other nation to seek help. Eska will follow them in the group, in the proccess (if not at the very beggining say... next episode) she will have a tremendous change in her look. This wil make Bolin falling in love with her for real... I'm calling it.

Me, the day korra premiered:
"So new Korra plot summary guesses: unalaq's controlling the spirits and using them to control korra."

Still not too impressed with the new season. Too dry/obnoxious and predictable.

Honestly, I hope they solve this Civil War thing next episode, or at least within the next three.

Having another Waterbender as the main badguy is pretty disappointing. Not only that, Korra hasn't even really touched the spirit world OR the spirits at all and yet the season is called "Spirits". There was basically one episode of spirits, and then Water Bender Civil War. I just hope they solve this quickly so that we can get on to the good stuff.

Woha, unbelievably late to the party. I'm probably going to look around for the episodes so I can catch up.

OH MY GOSH WHAT THE PINEAPPLE

So at first I was impressed with the episode. Bolin makes a FANTASTIC Captain America. And Meelo makes a fantastic Pokemon Trainer. I mean, Lemur Trainer.

I'm glad that Mako stood up for what he believed in; e.g., putting his job before his relationship.

After that point I was VERY unimpressed with the episode. The whole overarching theme of this episode was relationships. And how they suck. Everyone was stealing everyone....The fight at the end where Desna and Eska were fighting Korra? "YOU RUINED MY WEDDING" "YOU STOLE MY HUSBAND!" just...HUGE Cat fight. Not very comical, imo.

But then at the end...THe whole...Imagine what's going through Desna and Eska's mind? "We just saw the Avatar DIE in the AVATAR STATE". Imagine what the pineapple is going through their minds? They saw her go in the Avatar State, and when the mist cleared withjust enough time for her to get EATEN. They didn't see that at the time she got eaten, she wasn't in the avatar state anymore...But still.

Also, kudos to Korra for going into the Avatar State at will.

I also forgot to mention how I LOVE how much this show has matured. FREAKING POLITICAL BOMBINGS? "Why do you think the President would support something he has nor eason to be a part of?" lololol

Also, is anyone else thinking JONAH AND THE WHALE? Korra is about to go on an AMAZING spiritual journey.

What on earth happened in the end there? That was...quite a big skip.

Yea. I think the Jonah the Whale theory is probably going to happen. It just makes good sense and would be a good facilitator for a return back to the book's namesake.

I had a bit of fridge logic watching this episode. why does Korra need a speedboat to get to the Fire Nation? why can't she just waterbend-ski all the way there like Desna and Eska can do? or just fly there with airbending. meh.

the animation was pretty crap at the start of the episode, it got better though. The air temple sub plot is a bit boring.
