Probably because of the clots/ruins, even though if you're lucky, the good effects even it out, or even surpass it.

Interesting, selling all my grandmas(215) made me lose 4b cps at 6417%(with the bonus of 120 portals) and after buying 200 grandmas and using the covenant I lost about the same amount of cps.

I'm somewhat half and half on it. I simply unleashed it for the sake of getting all possible grandma upgrades, then I just went for the pledge because I exceeded the CpS where red cookies are even a good idea anymore. I definitely can't see it being a good idea having to spend cookies endlessly to appease the Grandmatriarches.

O.o The pledge caps out at 550b, thats like 300m(150m once you upgrade it to one hour) per second for a 5% increase, taking that in mind if 5% of your cps is less than 300m then I agree but otherwise I gladly pay 300/150m for a few billions.

It's not just that, but also losing all the gold cookies. I'm pretty much paranoid to click a single red cookie, because the outcome is not very stable. I'd rather enjoy the guaranteed benefits of Golden Cookies, not to mention someone did the math (over here: http://en.reddit.com/r/CookieClicker/com..._good_red/ ) that after ~350m CpS, which is really easy to get, Golden Cookies overtake Red Cookies in terms of benefits.

I am not doing it because the background and morphed Grandmas will make me mess my pants. Plus it makes me think about that Animal Crossing creepypasta.

Then just keep buying the pledge, I know I do it because when I don't my cps hits bottom and if you can't be there to buy it every half hour/hour then use the covenant.

I'm at 5.5Q all time baked. CPS is up to 19.3B cps. I have 100 of everything except the antimatter condensers...Which I have 77 of. Do I wait to get to 100 of those? Or reset now?

Reset now because the last ones cost a couple quads each.

Wouldn't it still be useful to buy all the upgrades and turn on the permanent elder covenant?

Watching shows with the cookie window on the side works wonders. It's also about a months' worth of gameplay and golden cookie clicks don't reset.

that's the thing, my 1.45 reset was a 30-days playing reset. and i got half that amount.

Restarted 2 days ago, have 151 Heavenly chips now. Went from ~25b CpS to now ~40.7b CpS, and just 2 Anti-matter Condensers away from 100. 200 Cursors/Grandmas, and 100 of each other building. ~30 quadrillion cookies baked and counting.

I'm a maaaaniac. Maaaaaaniac!

I'm up to 5.5k Heavenly Chips. Never realized just how stupid fast you accumulate them after prestiging a few times.
