Made up my mind to go and reserve the col pokemon 3ds and the games Conflicted on which version to pick though. Maybe I'll coin flip and see what happens. Leaning towards X though cause Fair antlers.

The only thing holding me back is that I'm sure as heck not gonna buy a console for a single game. Even with the 2DS as an option.

...having that budget option is incredibly tempting though.

There are so many good games for the 3ds, why would you only buy pokemon?

I get that pokemon is a good system seller, but once you have the machine, there is plenty worth getting.

My girlfriend was planning on getting the "long neck", and I'd get the T.Rex. I jokingly suggested to her we should nickname them Littlefoot and Chomper.

If you are sharing a game, have you considered buying the download version instead?

By downloading the game to two different SD cards (which are dirt cheap, you can get a big enough one for less than $5), you could each have your own save files.

It's easy enough to do. Put the first SD card in, download the game from the eshop, turn the 3DS off, put the second SD card in, go to the eshop and download it again.
