I can totally see Fennekin becoming a witch. The fur looks sorta like a witch's dress, and the stick coming out of its tail could turn into a broomstick type thing.

Then give it a signature move that has Fennekin use the broom to smack the opponent (strong physical move... which ofc is bad on a seeming sp atk poke)
But the twist! Mega form gets an ability called psychic force that causes all of its attacks to use sp atk to calculate damage (but still uses def for physical and sdef for special moves).

the problem seems to stem from it not looking like a mane, but rather an inflatable balloon or something.

that hair needs the yu-gi treatment.

The Sugimori art somehow makes it look worse. (in my opinion)

The issue is the red parts are too rounded, and come out too far. If they had more "texture" to them and were smaller it might look much better.

Weird. I have a friend who dresses up in drag. He still kicks ass, though.
