I'm no Hunter veteran by any means, I've only had Ultimate myself for a couple weeks or so and it's my first Hunter game ever but 4 is looking REALLY awesome to me. 4 looks like it's going to be considered the very best Hunter ever made so far. I mean Ultimate is still just a port of a past game with some added extras and whatnot where 4 is a legit sequel with tons of unique content since it isn't a port.
I love the differing terrain I've seen from footage which you AND monsters can utilize during combat. They revamped the climbing mechanics to make them better for these changes. The ability to get on the backs of monsters to basically do to them what they do to you: pin you down and beat you up. Two new weapon types. Everything looks just great.
Plus I don't think it'll have any underwater combat whatsoever which that alone I thank god for cause underwater combat, as nice of a novelty that it is, is rage-inducing in bigger battles. Also, this one will have online play unlike Ultimate for 3DS.
Here's some basic combat with the two new weapons:
I think the reason they chose 3DS exclusively is because from my understanding is that Hunter does really well on portable platforms since it was essentially the biggest system seller for PSPs in Japan. It's made for the Japanese market first in mind because that's where the franchise makes most of its profit.
Looks pretty good in action. Ill probably end up picking this up. still wish they could port it to the Wii U but looks good enough for my 3DS

(Mario & Luigi: Dream Team) Oh man, the boss fight at Dreamy Dozing Sands was sooooo fun! I seriously hope there's more like this later in the game LOL.

I'm at Dozing Sands myself and the game is more challenging compared to its predecessors. I do like a lot of the fights and mechanics in the game.

So I see they have anounced Bravely Default: For the Sequel in Japan. It's a new and improved version of the original. I hope that's the version we get over here in the west, whenever it finally comes out. All the have announced so far is a name change for Europe, Bravely Default: Where The Fairy Flies.

So I recently bought a 3ds...
which games do you suggest me to buy?
Good games which I wouldn't mind playing all over again like the 2d castlevania series (not the 3ds one) long and fun.
I was thinking of tloz, M&L DT, but I'm not sure.. any suggestion? qq

Get Etrian Odyssey IV and tell me how long it takes before you throw your 3DS across the room in a fit of rage.

Please elaborate. I don't see how that is possible when they're largely the same.

I found the story to be better, a long with the perspective transfers. Manipulating bowsers body as sort of an alliance just seemed like a better idea than entering luigi's dreams. Just feels stale in comparison :|

So many references to Beanbean Kingdom, Superstar Saga in general, in Dream Team. IS IT NOW NINTENDO'S CUE TO REMAKE/RE-RELEASE SUPERSTAR SAGA OR BRING BACK BEANBEAN KINGDOM IN SOME WAY SHAPE OR FORM?

So Monster Hunter 4 has sold over 2 million units in two days. This is ridiculous.

Damn. The pictures of the queues were pretty impressive. And capcom only predicted it to sell 2.8m by april. They might actually meet one of their estimates!
In Other news,Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies is getting its release on the 24th of October in both Europe/America. Yes,digital only. $25/30 Euros. Still no word on the price in pounds though.

Dat Monster Hunter 4 footage on Youtube already, hnnngh!
I love the amount of work that went into the environments. Flat zones no more! Each area looks like you're actually there, fighting monsters in their habitat as opposed to their "habitat" made up of flat ground and some grass here and there.

recently got a 3DS for pokemon and plan on buying future games, but in the mean time, is there anything I can buy (free preferably) for a low price that'll get me some form of entertainment with the system that isn't my old DS games?
Plan for games is pokemon, monster hunter, and fire emblem with icarus in the far future, but anything else worth finding? My handhelds tend to be limited to pokemon, but anythign that requires thinking is also nice.

Pushmo and Crashmo are pretty fun, each under 10bucks. They're puzzle games.
There's a lot of stuff on the Virtual Console you might like which are almost all 4.99. The Wario games are good for example. Gunman Clive is surprisingly good and it's 1.99 I think. Megaman 1~6 iirc are on it as well.

I'm definitely getting that 3DS XL when it comes out, if it comes to the USA. It's about time I've upgraded, anwyay.
