You've already received my responses earlier today.
-oooh wee ooh- No joke. Thanks again!

I hope the feedback our players makes a modest impact for the report you're compiling!

Oh I did? Haha. Alright then.
Just searched for the IGN in my Word Document and it wasn't there.

I really hope a lot of people participate in this, there's no harm in at least trying to voice an opinion.

I agree, I'm trying to spread the word among my maple friends, for whoever use Skype anyway.

Are we limited to spreading the word within Southperry? I'm tempted to blast in it in the alliance I'm in in-game, but I want to make sure if it's okay first. Confused I'm also wondering if we can let people know in Basilmarket, though I want to avoid letting trolls know about your proposal.

You can spread the word anywhere. I don't really have a deadline so far. But at the rate this is going, it's going to take me a long time to gather all the information, put them in the right sections and write some kind of report on it. And now I'm questioning whether this is a good idea or not haha.

I already attempted on Basil.
Got called a hacker, and people thought it was a keylogger and then the thread died.

Yes the Basil community is.. very hmm..
In that case I'll see who I can contact to make the announcement more public and hopefully give you a bit more information to work with. :v I'll ask friends to spread the word~

Have a good day!

Yea i'v spread the word among my friends as well as submitting my own long, detailed set of paragraphs with my opinions and ideas to improving the game as a whole.

I replied also. I know many people will not respond thinking it will do no good. These are the same people who do not vote, but like to complain about the government. If enough people try and make their voices heard over time you can make a change. I understand that this is with a private company and is not as likely to see all the changes we would like, but what does it hurt

I would feel a lot more optimistic about this if it had been initiated by Nexon. Or at least acknowledged by them. You know, a word form Aurtax in the thread over there on their forums, something to the tune of "please cooperate with Maryse, we'd love to hear what you all have to say".
Otherwise, well, it's a bit like Tyler's great and elaborate plans for a new type of volunteer player patrol.

Also, I don't Skype.

i agree with what saptazapata said and the reason im not taking advantage of this, because mayrse pretty much said she didnt want to hear the ideas for revamps for story/places/jobs/systems that could help improve maple even though she wants to hear our ideas o....o?

Aurtax knows about this, I talked to him about it and he was actually worried that I couldn't take it or that it might have been a lot of stress on me. That and he didn't want to maybe lose my presence on the forums while I do this.

Part of the reason why I'm doing this is because I keep seeing a lot of negativity over on the forums, I can see that a lot of people aren't exactly happy with the game and/or Nexon lately.
While Aurtax is doing polls on the forums, I want to know more. I don't think staff can do something like this so that's why I'm taking initiative and doing it myself.

I thank everyone who has participated already, it's really appreciated.

That's because I'm looking for feedback, not reports or ideas or anything like that.
I want to know what people think of the current game and what Nexon is currently doing.
The only sort of "idea" I'm looking for is for the question "What do you think needs the most improvement in the game? What about the company?"

Tyler Wrote:Several of Nexon's staff have read and seen the Council already (and has been brought up to some of their staff directly as well), although there will not be any official announcement until I send the project to them personally once completed.

That is quite commendable of you, and I wish you luck.
But I can't help fearing they won't even take the time to read your report, much less implement any conclusions. You can take that as my opinion of Nexon, if you want.

Also, you should try to find and interview people who have recently quit.
The people who still play despite complaining, well, Nexon feels they're going to keep buying NX no matter what.
The people who quit years ago, even if they still hang around here and voice their opinion of the game, aren't really a reliable indicator of what is wrong with the game or the company right now.
You need to find people who quit a few months ago (even though it's hard to tell whether they'll manage to stay away), and find out why it happened - and hope it's not something like "I graduated and no longer have time for the game".

Sorry if I sound discouraging. I really do wish you success. Maybe you will be the one to find the winning formula.

I'm honestly confused as to why you're bringing Tyler into this. It has nothing to do with Tyler or his Council idea. This is just something I'm doing for myself to get feedback from people. Everyone's always looking to give feedback but they don't know where to say it or they simply don't get heard.
I want to give a voice to those people.

It's going to be hard finding people that have quit. After all, they quit. I don't know why they would stick around.
I want to know what people think of it now, not the future, not the past, now.

If Nexon's not going to listen to their players, cash shop sales can only do so much before people have had enough.

Would try but I don't really see a point.

MrBasil has made like 2 polls with thousands of votes and I don't think Nexon has even addressed it, let alone acknowledge it.

Too lazy to get my re-DL skype and get my info back so I'll leave it here

-Fix Magnus genesis(?) skill. Comes down way too fast. (Really hard for a pre-red shadower.)
-For the love of god no more link characters. I've made way too many already and is too time consuming to keep making Level 70/120 characters for them
-So many items now need either SoK, PSoK, or Sharing Tag. Does every potential near end-game item have to be restricted to NX to be resold/traded around? Quite ridiculous that I can't move around any of my equips and clean slate em.
-Attendance events. 1 per Account at least. I actually got caught up doing attendance event on EVERY single character on my Main account for 2 weeks. That was like 2~3 hours of straight grinding everyday. It's too much. Just make em 1 per account.
-EXP Reduction. What's the point of this really? If a certain spot is good, why should I be forced to move after 10 levels? How about training spots are progressive as you level?
-300k CS box. 1 NX isn't bad but some people don't have any NX at ALL. 300k was fine.
-GM's. Every time I see a GM they always have literacy problems or give the impression of some 14 y/o. Long pauses between text. I mean, I hope Nexon hires adults or people with college/gaming background. GM's are suppose to represent Nexon, but they do a horrible job in public from what I've seen.

I would have also liked to complain about the bossing issue but Nexon is too deep in the rabbit hole to fix this right now. I have about 250k range on my shadower and I've dumped hundreds of dollars on cubing events/scrolling to get there since I had to start from scratch after getting hacked (yes hacked no one knew my info and one person hacked multiple people in my server) but I'd like to say I now do ok. But max range is 2M. How much do I have to spent on Maple before I can finally start profiting with solely bossing/drops? 1k? 5k? Do I really need to waste 49$ and pray for a tyrant/fafnir equip from Marvel so I can fund myself? I say stop with these Fairy Vails and Marvel Machine and just leave everything in Gachapon. Maple was fine when it was only Gachapon but now with all these expensive ways of getting rare equips, it's furthering the gap. Really.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. StunnedStunned

I'm bringing Tyler into this because he, too, had an idea that could help Nexon and improve the Maple game experience for everyone. He, too, felt sure he had Nexon's tacit approval, because they were aware of what he was doing.
Of course, it's possible his Council never happened for reasons that have nothing to do with Nexon's original intentions for it. Or maybe they've changed and are now more open to listening to volunteer projects.
And maybe not.

It's not just a "volunteer project" it's something that they need to do themselves but they aren't doing.
While Aurtax is doing more polls now, he, or any other staff, can't get up close and personal with everyone that has an opinion about the game.
That's where my idea to take on this task came to me.

People need to have their voices be heard and not have the door shut in their face once they start talking.

I applaud your commitment, I really do, but just because Nexon needs to do this it does not mean they will just up and take your work as if it was the same thing.
