One no longer has to have a window open in the background for cookies to accumulate.

YOU CAN READ OTHER TABS WITH THE NEW UPDATE. Praise the lord I can now keep producing cookies in the background.

There's an option to save yourself from cookie overload turn that effect off. Just click menu near the top, and turn particles off.
