I gave away my Pokemon Black, which had pretty much every event Pokemon ever away to my friend as a Christmas gift last year thinking that the new games would be pretty much the same. Now I completely regret that and am on the edge of buying a 3DS just for this. My event Darkrai with Roar of Time and spacial Rend... Frown

As said earlier, that's actually kinda normal. You should check out some OST Game Rips that have been done. More songs than I want to count.

Because it's something the fans have wanted since gen 1 (for the baby kangaskhan to do something).

It's a simple change but a very effective one that changes how Kangaskhan works

I for one am kind of mad over the fact after the many years and countless countless rumors/theories this is all they give us.

Well they just gave MegaMawile a second mouth so I don't think creativity was something strong with the Mega-series.

these MEGAFORMS seem to just enhance what the class already has, blaziken is a melee kind of fighter, so let's just go full taekwondo with it, lucario has spikes on his arms? let's make them have a bigger spike and look more rocky, absol looks emo? let's add wings and a mane.

ampharos got the royal treatment though. i always wondered where all that fluff went.

Looks like another pokemon gets the mega treatment (revealed at the Pokemon World Championship). But this type of mega evolution is far different from the others we've seen.

EDIT: Didn't see the previous pages, but at least there's a video of it

Idk about you, but Mega mawile looks pretty badass in game. Pretty much talking about that pose at 0:48'ish

Hmm... I really want a speed boost blaziken, but I don't want to train another one or use this one through the game. ; - ;[/COLOR]

Creativity has never been strong in the entire Pokemon franchise, which is one of the complaints each and every game gets: "It's the same old experience". Then you have the counter to that: "Yeah, it never changes... but it works! =D"

As derpy as Mega's are, at least it's a step in the direction of finally trying something different. It's whatever to me, but it's something. /emoshouldershrug

I absolutely love the 5-way henshin transformation sequence in the trailer.

Took me back to watching Power Rangers or Sailor Moon and seeing all the characters transform at once.
Way to hit my nostalgia bone Pokemon.

Why choose Feniken if you get a free Torchic? You dont need two fire starters. Yes, its new and all, but froma teem balance standpoint, two fire starters is a bit much.

who wouldn't want two fire/fighting on their team? -shot-

being serious, as long as fenne is a different secondary type, i'm A-OK with it, might actually box the torchic for EV training or something too.

Pretty much this, I literally use Torchic any way I can (battle tower, pokemon emerald, roms etc) so I will most likely box it as well since I super overuse torchic. Gotta make sure I get that adamant monies tho, hope natures are resettable.

Trademark based rumours ahoy.

Apparently the following pokemon might have Mega-Evolutions:
Quote:Charizard
Blastoise
Gengar
Pinsir
Jynx
Gyarados
Aerodactyl
Scizor (Already confirmed unofficially)
Houndoom
Tyranitar
Heracross
Gardevoir
Medicham
Banette
Aggron
Latias/Latios
Abomasnow

No idea what "Confirmed unofficially" means in regards to Scizor. whatever.

I'm very happy with this list.
Banette is awesome, and I would love to use it if it got a Mega Evolution.
Scizor, Aggron, Abomasnow, Houndoom and Aerodactyl are very exciting.
Latias/Latios is going to be interesting. Soul Dew or Mega Evolution? it's gonna be a hard choice.

I'm a bit miffed at how popular all these pokemon are, but then again, these are pokemon that are going to be used in promotional materials so it makes sense they would be popular. doesn't mean these are the only ones getting Mega Evolutions.

also, Charizard, Blastoise but no Venasaur? travesty.

Latios (<3),Scizor, Aggron and Tyranitar? Can't wait to see those ones.

-sighs loudly- I want these Pokemon have normal evos, not mega evos. Them having mega evos makes me think they'll never have normal evos.

At first I kinda agreed that pokemon like Absol, Mawile and Pinsir could have just gotten evolutions to boost their power, but then again, I think having standalone pokemon helps with the diversity a bit. I like some standalone pokemon. standalones usually have more of a "finished" look, and they are not going to change design wise through evolution.

I'm one of those people who loved Magmar in Gen 1, and I thought Magby was an unnecessary addition, and then came Magmortar who is ugly as sin.

I think adding more evolutionary families is just going to bloat the pokedex even more, and have pokedex numbers all over the place. Again i'll use Magmar as an example, who starts off at Pokedex Number 240 as Magby, moves DOWN to 126 as Magmar and then all the way up to 467 with Magmortar.

I think Mega-evolutions are a brilliant compromise to both of these problems by making standalone pokemon more powerful without changing their design too drastically, or messing up the pokedex.
