Secret passage

When parwen gives you the password and you enter it at the doors, do you still need the password to go between the labs, or does it save? (does it ask for the code every time? and is the code unique to each player?)

after you enter the code once at each side of the secret passage, it gets unlocked and you do not need the code anymore. i keeped it anyway to be on the safe side, but thats just me. and apparently the code is random and unique for each player. i actually believe that it is not random, but a sort of hash based on your IGN. some1 need to test it, lol.

That would be so tedious... Eek

Once you input the code for both doors, I don't think you need the code anymore. I could be wrong since I only finished the quest yesterday. If this is so, then I think Issac should change the wording of the quest in StrategyWiki to not make it seem like you need to keep it forever.

It doesn't matter, you can forfeit it and do it again for a new code.

You won't have to kill all 200 sites again, the NPC will generate a new one for you instead.

If I remember correctly, the NPC gives you the code upon finishing the quest. Activating the doors isn't a part of the quest, you do it on your own.

activating the doors *is* part of the quest. you can get a different code, but you can never see the same code twice it seems.

i guess if you asked for a new code enough times the generator code will loop or run out of "random" possibilities...

That would take ages though. You could set up an autoclicker and still be at it for years down the road...

also i suppose with an autoclicker you wouldn't be able to actually see that you got the code twice

I don't see why someone would try it anyway.

I could get through after I typed it in once at each entrance, after that, it says something like "Your name is in the list" and lets you through

Same. I think as soon as you write the correct code at each enterance, you can come and go as you please.
