Getting banned for being a *xenon*

Yea.... like the title says, i basically got banned for being a xenon.

solo training by spamming beam dance at stronghold in the middle.

Perma banned. tynexon

You're not alone, my friend got perma while grinding on his mm... Last month he got a 1month ban for afking infront of the zak alter lol waiting for me to finish prequest :/

go check nexon help section and you'll see you aren't the only one

Good thing for me, my Xenon is a link skill mule. Nonetheless, it's sad to hear this happening. I'm hoping Nexon will release a future statement about what's happening.

They won't until the new Community Rep is up to speed on their PR policy. And then, it may be too little or too late, probably both.

It may be an incredible chaos and a unique pot scroll, but personally, this has demotivated me from doing anything on MapleStory besides AFK a few hours a day for the Absolute Ring. And even then...

i actually wouldn't really care about this ban because i knew i was gonna get nexon'd sooner or later but this ban was perma which really got me annoyed.

Counts as botting and I heard of several people getting banned at evo world for doing that. Don't know if temp or perma though.

Anyways, if you've been wrongfully banned, submit a ticket. Might take a while to reply but if you did nothing wrong then you should get unbanned.

That's probably expected, since having MS as an inactive window while monsters are dying = huge memory leak.

I'm not really sure what you exactly meant but what i did was Hold beam dance then just press outside of maple. I run maple in windows and if u hold beam dance, then press outside of the maplestory window, you can let go of beam dance and it'll spam it.

This training method has been out for along time.

I think he's referring to the practice of ALT+Tabbing while using a keydown skill.

So given that's what you did, it's no wonder you got banned. Pretty sure they've made comments that said that doing that falls under the same category as putting a rock on a certain key to keep spamming it.

You've been able to do the exact same thing with all Hurricane-type skills since... I don't even know when. Years ago at least. I used to do it a lot when doing bodyguard runs because it was annoying to just hold it down for 30minutes straight.

Nexon does need to make their game require directional key imput. There's that whole "can't stand in the same spot" thing that stops someone from attacking after either a minute or 100 attacks or something, but if you get hit around and have pet autopot going, it bypasses that because it moves you.

That's probably why you got banned.

Only other method I know of this was hurricane alt w/BM's but it wasn't as popular back then so I don't know if any BM's receieved consequences.

Not fair that you can go browse the internet for 30 minutes while you rack up exp with no effort. In my opinion, you should have gotten a warning by a GM, but this is NexonAM, and we all know GM's don't really do personal investigations in-game anymore as much as they use to. Should have been a 1~3 day temp ban in my opinion.

Just because it's an old method doesn't make it right.

Send a ticket and if they tell you that's why you were banned, try your best to apologize.

- Wouldn't you need an actual bot to be botting?

Just because it's bad coding doesn't mean it is not an exploit and gives users the right to do it.
