Pokémon X and Pokémon Y
Razmos Wrote:It's kind of based on both, they both are all shadowy and stealthy though, so my point counts regardless I guess Tongue

But it isn't based on any ninja.

Its origins are from the tengu - which is why it has a long nose and "fans" for hands, and kabuki which is why it poses in a "mie" style and has long, white hair.

Now that I look you are right, it isn't based on a ninja. I'm sure that I saw it moving like a ninja in the anime but I could be wrong.

Disregard me Tongue

So has anyone started thinking about their team just from whats been revealed?

Fennekin, that dark/fighting cape bear, and the squid thing unless I find another water type. Sucks that I want the fire/flying bird, but also want Fennekin. I don't like having multiple types in my party. Tongue

Inkay and Malimar are Dark/Psychic and aren't water at all, you can use a water type in your party with Malimar without the types overlapping. Tongue
(sorry if that's not what you meant, but it's what I read it as)

I do that too, I tend not to have any repeat types in my party.

Well I meant fennekin and talonflame* will have overlapping types right? I was under the impression that talonflame is fire. lol

And if the squids aren't water, then I don't want them. I hope this game has good non starter water types that you can get earlier in the game, in the previous games the only ones you can get that I think are worth mentioning would be psyduck and buizul. Like first gen has horsea but I don't think you get it until a long time.

For B/W, I did a buttload of research before its release, but it somehow felt less fun because I already knew where to get everything. I think I'm just gonna go with the flow and catch everything I see, then decide on a team. Monocle

Not sure how early you'll be able to get them, but there's Clauncher (Water) for X and Skrelp (Water/Poison) for Y.

Oh yea, I totally forgot about clauncher if I find one, they'll be my water type. It looks really promising as a pokemon, I hope it doesn't disappoint like crawdaunt did in gen 3. It's first form looked nice, but then it just went downhill. :c

I did that with b/w1 and b/w2 and it ruined the games for me, i never ended up finishing them =/

I was really glad when i heard x/y were global release so it was pretty much impossible for me to do that Biggrin

That pic of Chespin from the poster... Chespin really growing on me, I wish I could have both it and fennekin to start with.

I would definitely recommend it.

Gen 3 and 4 sort of made me lose interest in pokemon so I didn't pay much attention to B/W. When I finally got around to playing it I didn't know all the new pokemon and definitely not any of their names. So when you were fighting trainers and I had no idea what pokemon I was fighting or what wild pokemon I would find next.

I think that's why I enjoyed B/W so much, probably more than I normally would have.

Too bad it won't be exactly the same for this since it seems gen 1-6 will all be together.

A bit disappointed at the surfing animation. Though i'm not really sure what I expected.

Battles are faster than I thought they'd be. the delay between actions looks considerably less than in previous games, awesome stuff.

I think it looks fine, though the dismount looks a bit weird because of how rushed it is.

Ummm... Diangonal movement!? Big Grin

Am I the only one who's excited about that?

Lots of rumours - Warning: in my opinion, it's very likely to be fake for many reasons, but be aware that if it IS true, this link contains spoilers regarding the plot.. so be careful if you really aren't sure.
it's like 90% pandering to the audience, saying EXACTLY what everyone wants and have speculated. And a lot of the stuff is so painfully obvious it makes me cringe, like:
"The first route in the game is home to Fletchling and a currently unannounced rodent Pokémon, which is said to live underground and evolves in a Normal/Ground Pokémon" no pomegranate sherlock. there has been a regional rodent and a regional bird on route 1 in every single generation.
"Santalune Forest is where Spewpa, Scatterbug and Pancham are found" Oh wow, a low level 3 stage bug line appearing in a forest at the start of the game? so groundbreaking and not an educated guess in the slightest. Also, people wanted Pancham to show up in early in the game, so why not throw that in there.

Spritzee, Litleo, Helioptile and Clauncher all have evolutions with the exact same types as people have been guessing. What a surprise.

A poison snake Z legendary? because that hasn't been speculated like mad since the game was announced.

3 stage dolphin line. Highly desired.

A nymph pokemon. Sylveon is already based on a Nymph.

Mawile, Sableye, Farfetch’d, Dunsparce and Qwilfish all receive evolutions. of course they do, funny that those ones are specifically mentioned since those are the ones everyone talks about.

Miltank, Taurus, Throh, Sawk and Audino all receive prevolutions - same thing again. Everyone has been speculating about split-pre-evo's between Miltank and Taurus. as well as Throh and Sawk.

Eevee receives a Poison-type evolution known as Toxeon - hahhahahahahaha no. Not even going to dignify this one.

Orot is Grass/Ghost type - completely obvious guess.
also a second gameplay video, showing double battles and some beautiful juicy in-game models. Including Sigilyph, Reuniclus, Umbreon, Haxorus and Dragonite. Skip to 2:25 for the action.
