Absolute Ring Event

Thanks for the heads up. Guess I'll just aim for a ton of Absolute, Evo II, and Evo III rings and know I can't miss a single day. Except the last day.

Apparently, if you upgraded on the 11th day, your ring was automatically made tradable... which got me to thinking: perhaps something went wrong on Nexon's end, and they mistakenly designated the 'tradable upgrade' on day 11 when it was supposed to be on the '+'. But even then, I'm confused. Why even make tradable versions of the lesser rings when it's never even been a possibility in the past?

But... even if nothing is done, the notice for this event states that you only need a 31 upgrade total- meaning that even if you miss a day or two in the event, you'd still be okay. In theory.

My guess (total guess btw) is they might either make up for it or have an event later on to fix it. The rings that aren't upgraded to +11 still have slots left over, and you can try to scroll them but only specialized scrolls work. Could totally have a hot time/event that gives scrolls for 2013 Evo Rings.

I received my stamp for the + day. have 11 count on the side. Everything seems to be the same and going fine, except for the part that it was on a different ring.

Then I'm even more confused. Why does Gaga prevent you from upgrading if your ring is tradable, if the last two days both make your ring tradable? Could he not just give you the next level of tradable ring?

This event really wasn't thought out too well.

The Xenon Update Notes state "Absolute Ring + all previous Absolute rewards: 31 - 33 stamps", that it specifically states 33 as a cap makes me believe that the intended max number of stamps we're to get is 33, and the extra day is really there as a sort of fluff. This also means even though you can miss 5 days and get an absolute ring, they can't be 5 consecutive days, or even 3 consecutive days in any given phase.

I mainly responded to clarify for people who got Lv 11's already and couldn't get a stamp for the extra day, but also noticed that some people are saying if you missed the first five days, you can still get the absolute ring. But no, I do not believe this to be a glitch, just misleading.

For those that missed 5 days but really really want that absolute ring, I thought of a gamble you can try. Half way through phase 2 and 3, chuck your ring. A new one wouldn't reach level 11, and that might just let you get a 13th stamp on the last two phases. Not sure if it'll work, but if I were in that position, I'd at least try it on one of my mule chars. It would mean you won't get any lv 11 rings.

So... What you did was put your old ring in the storage, upgrade the new ring, and it would give you the stamp for the '+', for a total of 11 stamps? Am I understanding this correctly?

The event was poorly designed, yes. Or coded. Likely both.
Should simply have left the rings untradeable until the "Rewards Phase", when they'd either be combined for the Absolute Ring or become tradeable separately.
That is, if they absolutely had to have such a drawn-out convoluted event...

No problem. But to answer your second part there I can already tell you it won't work. Once you've been awarded 11 stamps, Gaga won't even let you get a new ring, his dialog is completely different. Doesn't have any of the ring options, just says something like "You have already upgraded a ring 11 times."

You cannot. Whether the ring is in your inventory or in storage he still tells you, "You've already upgraded..."

i'm more concerned about the meaning of this, does this mean that we need 31 stamps and three maxed evo rings? (the end of the post says you have to have all three maxed) or do you just need the 31 stamps? and thus are able to trade three crappy level 1 rings for the ultimate one? (doubt it)

Hmm, hadn't really considered it, I tried it just to see if I can glitch out a 12th stamp. Well, sure fire substitute for bravery is ignorance!

It is of my belief that we need only 31 stamps, since if you have 3 maxed rings that means you have 33 stamps. Still, better safe than sorry.
