*facepalm*

My ally can't upgrade his level 4 ring because it's been made tradeable.
He put it in storage and got a new ring for the day's stamp.
Question is whether that zeros the count or adds to it.
Another question is whether the Absolute Ring counts stamps or individual ring upgrades.

Stupid, stupid Nexon. Wonder whether they'll fix this before the next ring starts on July 24th. (Maybe that's why they put such a large break between them?)

My guess is it still adds to the count and the absolute ring is given to players that get a total of 31+ (I think that's the number they said?) stamps, regardless of what the rings may look like. I guess with them becoming tradeable on the 11th day also without becoming fully upgraded it is safe to assume the Evo Rings are not taken away to reward the Absolute Ring.

Also, I'm a little bit sad. Have quite a few +10 rings because I assumed the last day worked on them still ><

What's the point of having an extra day if no one can actually upgrade it on the extra day? I guess you can start next weeks ring?

Do keep us posted. It figures that something would go wrong with this event.

Not even. The next ring period starts on the 24th, a little over a week from now.

I really feel like Nexon didn't think this event through thoroughly.

From six rings down to two, maybe three, I can't remember.

Sounds like everyone is going to get a pass (read: free Level 11 2013 Evo Ring and all stamps) or this is going to end up like that fiasco of a winter event where nobody was able to get the chair because they did something Nexon.

Nope. I'm almost positive the next ring given will be 2013 Evolving Ring II.

But my friends suggested I put my ring in the storage and get a new one for the stamp.

I guess on the bright side for anyone that was planning on saving the rings to sell later for a profit, the +11 rings probably just went up in predicted cost..

my friend was able to upgrade to tradable +11 today but she had the potion for upgrade lol so that might have been why it worked

Anyone willing to experiment with afking for an hour with a new ring and the old one in the storage, then when you get the potion bottle, drop the new ring, withdraw the old one and try to upgrade? o-o

Seems as if the only day you could really skip and still get a +11 ring would have been yesterday. Too bad I missed the first day on most of my characters.

^ thanks for that idea. Totally trying it now.

I'll let you know how it goes in ~30 mins when I get my potion.

I don't see that working, but it is worth a try. I mean, since they have all been transformed into tradable, what is to stop you from transferring the ring to another character, waiting an hour, getting the potion, then using it on that ring (and repeating on multiple characters until it becomes max level)

It's because it's tradable that Gaga won't let you upgrade the ring. Even if you were to upgrade the ring on another character, it wouldn't count towards your checklist, which is what ultimately matters toward your upgrade total.

The tradeable and untradeable rings are two different items. I doubt they put in code to upgrade a tradeable ring, since you're not supposed to even be able to get a box when your ring is tradeable (hence Gaga's message today).
But I guess we'll see.

I see two main issues that will probably come about with it. First being that the tradeable ring and the untradeable one are two completely different items, so unless Gaga was coded to look for both when upgrading, even with a potion he probably won't apply it to the tradeable one. Second being, even if he is meant to notice both types of rings, he would have to be coded to check for an if statement handling the potion upgrade first, else then he checks the ring, which is a fairly backwards way at coding it.

But even still, worth a shot on my mule. Worst it will do is waste an hour of my other laptop idling.

It wouldn't count towards your character's stamp card, but it would allow abuse to max out the ring, which I think Nexon would would want to prevent, and why I don't think it would work.

So you literally can't miss a single day. Thanks for the false hope, Nexon.
