What is (are) your most used Internet ID(s) and how did you come up with it (them)?

I go by either my real name or Otaia for online identification (account names, profile, etc). I use a slew of other names for characters and role playing that are almost never repeated.

Otaia doesn't have any significance or meaning, it's just a fun word that is short, easy to pronounce, contains only one consonant, and is never taken when I want to register for something.

I'm only 'Dusk' on SP because I was registering on like Week 2 of its existence and I felt like taking a short and common word.

I got the title Moonlapse from this song. Progressive Death Metal is awesome.

I got my IGN from rearranging Vagus Nerve, one of my favorite anatomical structures.

Nion- SO in Maple, I wanted to make a hermit because I wanted to become a ninja (which was a nerdy Asian thing imo) so I was thinking of the most ridiculous things. Sky and Fire sounded cool but I wanted to add something to it. Somehow, I randomly typed NionSkyFire and it was available. Years after using the Nion word in my names, I decided to just leave it as Nion because it's short and simple.

GreenTeaSip- I like green tea all thanks to the magical sensation of boba milk tea.

I used to go by RobMdza all the time (Google tells me I used to go by that name since circa 2002), which stands for Rob (when I was little I wanted an english sounding name, idk why) + Mdza (which is short for Mendiolaza, the town I live in). Then it got shortened to Rob, but even if I really like it, it's almost impossible to use it, since it is such a common name, so I made alterations of it: RobM, RobWatanabe etc.

Nowadays I go by Whitestep, which is my own style of 2step/dubstep, made entirely by processing white noise... that lasted like 2 songs though. Got painful to listen to

MapleStory - First character was xXBillNyeXx. Me and my friend made up that up because we thought it was funny.

Derosis - No clue. I was 8 years old. I guess it was cause at the time I wanted to be a doctor and I really liked German Doctors in horror movies and I always remembered them saying "Der specimine ist..." and I'm like... Sure why not. And I really liked Osm"osis" Jones when I was a kid too. So I guess those are the combination of things which lead to it?

EmpyreanFist is what I got from playing sands of destruction, my favourite character Taupy the bear uses Knuckles, and has one move called Empyrean Fist, which is what I thought would be a sick name for my buccaneer.

Sn1perJohnE - Its a mix between my first characters name, Sn1perel1te, and my first/last name, John E.

JEllis/Art - THis is a more recent once, and I plan to use it almost exclusively. It is basically a mix of my first and last name, JEllis, and the Art part is added because I am an artist.

When i decided to remake my mage ice/lighting looong time ago (before the Big bang patch and because that mage had like 25 STR) i was going to call it DarkForceJ, the "J" because of my name. But for some reason and some derpiness, it ended being DarkForgeJ .-.

Now i use the name "Forge" for everything online

Dark Link - Obviously from the Zelda series. Dark / Shadow Link has always been my favorite enemy / boss in the series. Vaati is my 2nd, which is where my Paladin's name "ShadowVaati" originated.

DarkZetta - Kind of randomly came into my head after I couldn't get the "Dark Link" ID one day. Was hugely influenced from the Disgaea series (Bad ass freaking overlord Zetta) and The World Ends With You (Sho Minamimoto) as those were the two games / series I was playing at the time.

My first internet name I gave myself was fartbreath69. When I finally got into high school, I stopped using this name.

Maplestory
ChongyChing - My best friend Tina, at the time, both came up with an idea that we would name our biships ChongyChing and ChongyChang since we were known ksers at the time. however, this never happened and I ended up being the one stuck with this name. Once I reached level 200 back around 2008, I decided to give up on Maplestory. I made a few other characters, but my bishop was probably the most memorable character I had back around that time frame.

SunYanZi - I love Sun Yan Zi. So I guess to show my love to her, I made it my Sleepywood/SP name. Most people in Maplestory that haven't played in Windia with me either know me by this as well. There isn't really anything too special about it.

RuGuru - I came up with this name randomly while drinking one night. It's a pretty generic gamer name I guess.
xNiX/DriX - I used this name pretty heavily in my Counterstrike days. I recently went back to it about 4-5 months ago and I've stuck with this. I'm pretty sure xNiX and DriX will be my permanent internet name from now on.

MCheif - started playing when Halo 2 was popular (I was like 10?) and thus Master Chief + not knowing how to spell = MCheif
Lost the info to that account so I did xXMCheifXx since the X thing was common among young kids who didn't feel like coming up with something original and didn't realize they would forever be haunted by that immaturity after starting a YouTube channel with that name.

I believe Marksman Bryan started here with Southperry; making an account here after Bellardia was shut down and Nikki advertised in his FM shop that "Southperry is the new Bellardia"

Sujinpuff/Sujinpuffy: I had a horrible username before this, which is also the name I gave my main PPG/DBZ fancharacter (she and I were known as Saiyan-puff HA HA HAHAHahah...). This is where I decided my fancharacter needed a less shitty name. The name was really random... I was watching MTV (I was like 14) and saw the name Soochin Pak (I think that was how it was spelled) and I took that name, changed it a bit and said "This is my character's new name." This was my age of "draw everything in PPG style" so I added "puff" to the name and it became my username for a while. It's my BasilID right now, and my first (and remade) I/L is named this.

MariaColette/MariettaRC: Named after another original character of mine (who still exists today, but now the username is completely separate from her), full name being Marietta Ryley Colette. I used this name for my first Ranger. It stuck with me, so I started using it in forums. MariettaRC came around when my first account got hacked and my beloved Ranger got deleted, so I made the name MariettaRC to indicate a remade character with the "same" name (also because the hacker made sure I couldn't reuse the old name). I use both names interchangably in places.

Satellite: Origins of this go back to when Yellonde and CWK came out. The same week we had just got our first dog and his full Kennel name had "Space Satellite" in it. So, when I made my Bishop in Yellonde I tried to get a variation of Satellite (playing with Ls and is), but those were all taken. I ended up using a dumb name iSatellite in MS, but at other sites when Satellite was not taken, I always used it. I've also used xSatellite on some sites.

Walde: Way older ID of mine. My real name is Valtteri which basically is a very Finnished version of Walter. It's a long name, even for a Finn, which is why all my friends/classmates have always called me by nicks. Walde was something that either a classmate or friend of mine coined up a long time ago. IRL I've heard it rarely, but internationally, I thought it would be a decent nick.

Following are more of like nicks in MS than IDs I've used but:

Pyle: Most random nickname ever. Dates back to when I was HSing guildies at Jr.Newties on my Bishop. One of them, due to not knowing any other nick, would call me to the bottom of the map with "Come HS Gomer Pyle". Apparently Gomer Pyle is a movie character of some sort. In a few days, when I continued HSing for them, it got shortened to "Pyle" and that name, which started out as a joke, spread through the whole guild like cancer and later got into my buddylist too. There's still a couple of my older friends in Yellonde that call me Pyle.

Waldo: When I had moved to Yellonde and I told a few people about using Walde as a nickname in Khaini, they quickly connected it to "Waldo" (Where's Waldo?). It took a while until one of my friends in Yellonde liked using it because her previously quitted MS friend had used the same nick. Suddenly everyone was calling me Waldo.

That about sums it up! Currently I pretty much only use TristanDaVoulas. Thankfully my last name is VERY uncommon.

Well it kinda started with my xbox gamer tag name (which I have not used in almost two years lol.) I was really into space due to just the vastness of it and megaman starforce (there's always a game involved with me lol). and so the tag TRU Galaxy was born. Then I was making more accounts and I thought my xbox tag was silly so I decided to use Omegastar and since it was practically already taken I decided to put some random numbers into it, thus the birth of omegastar9990. Then while I was making a basil account or something that name was somehow taken already lol. So I decided to go with Star909 being not creative. My most recently most used name now Whyisthissofun is a truly a mystery however.
