How was your day?
So, My paycheck, which I should have gotten on the 29th of June, will not be in my hands for probably another week. It seems that Human Resources had an issue with my appointment letter, and needed to get it clarified, but have not done so. So, I will be almost 3 weeks unpaid by the time I get my paycheck, and I am already living on a budget of 0 dollars.

Realized today that my school never awarded me my degree. It says I'm missing two classes - two that I finished last semester - yet it recorded the other two classes from that semester just fine. ??? So I'm heading over there tomorrow to fix that.

On another note, loving the Jonmobile.

My mind has been all over the place lately. Yes, I know I'm a bit disoriented, but I can still observe and listen well. And from what I've noticed, I need to develop a "don't give a pineapple" attitude and learn to accept that people are assholes.

Got the keys to the apartment, now we've gotta obtain a few furniture pieces and other necessities before we head back to the States.
Probably won't buy a lot of things new (save for like, shower curtains/kitchen utensils/etc).

Also, my lovely friend Jen drew this for me in exchange for some nx ^^:

Really glad I'm being paid for both my jobs now as my Dad keeps taking money from my account and won't be able to pay me back the $550 he was supposed to until mid-August.

Update: So the site's degree audit thing is wonky, and those classes are fine. But going there today unsurfaced another issue: one of the classes I took has to be sub/waived through my advisor who probably isn't around at all during the summer. Gonna shoot her an email tonight or tomorrow.

Finished the Doctor Who serial Caves of Androzani. The future's technology, which was based on 80s technology was...laughable, but science-fiction technology is always going to be outdated within a decade. At least there aren't any pop culture references like in the new series. Those pop culture references are going to age New Who tremendously. :p

This scene is what makes the serial: *spoiler warning*

Also it's been a few days since I last played MapleStory...

Well I was supposed to get on a flight to NZ for my semester abroad from LAX, but my flight from Dulles was delayed three hours so naturally I missed the flight. I then proceeded to wait in line for customer service agents for about five hours before receiving any service of any sort. I finally got into a bed to sleep at 4am. So I mean, how do you think my day went?

The flip-side though is that they finally rebooked me on a flight to NZ and it's about the same time my flight was yesterday so that's nice.

This story has a sad ending.

I was just waking up from my evening slumber when I felt something in my hair. I brushed it away, and I noticed a big black object leap off of my bed and down on the floor next to my nightstand.

I jolted out of bed. "Jesus Christ what is that!?" My poor vision blurred the black object about the size of my fist as it rocketed across the carpet out of my bedroom. Was that a centipede? Spider?

Carefully standing up, I put on my glasses and tiptoed out of my bedroom and into the dining room of my apartment. I peered into every nook and cranny I could think of until I could get to the lightswitch. I flicked it on.

A black thing was coming right toward me and my feet. I shrieked and jumped back. It skittered back into the shadows. I thought about going for the flashlight, but I didn't want to risk getting surprised again. So since this thing - whatever it was - didn't seem nearly as afraid of me as I was of it, I just stood in stone silence and waited for The Black Thing to show its head again.

Then I saw the black thing come out of the darkness. It was about the size of my fist, as I recalled. It was fluffy with four legs and a scrawny tail. "Oh, it's just a cute little mouse!" My eyes followed him as he started going, literally, around the room. He climbed up the moulding - he went under my refrigerator, but he always circumnavigated the room. It appeared he was looking for food.

But how do I get him out of here? I could tell my landlord, but then he'd just setup mousetraps and kill the bugger. I don't want him to die. I just want him to leave. I opened my front door and began closing off the other doors to my apartment - slowly sectioning him off. Eventually I stomped on the floor and chased him out of my apartment..

There. Now I don't have to deal with a mouse in my apartment while I'm at work.

About fifteen minutes later I exited my apartment and walked through the gravel walkway to my car, and then I saw him. There was a small furball with four legs and a scrawny tail - squished.

R.I.P. Mouse. You will be missed. I should have given you some cheese.

Bleh this has been a funky week. On Monday I was asked to work next week when I wasn't originally scheduled, which was great, but then today that booking was cancelled due to an error. Thankfully I scheduled work for the other week this month I wasn't supposed to be in, so now I'm off next week and working the six then after.

I also had a third interview with Bloomingdale's for a sales associate position and was basically given the job, except scheduling conflicts may prevent that from coming to fruition. Fortunately, the manager said she liked me a lot and would try and see if there were other options available, so we'll see what happens.

Then when I arrived home from work my aunt was overtly passive aggressive in conveying her apparently growing dislike of me staying with the family via a line of questioning about how the apartment search is going with my two friends (answer: not good, but will be better over the next week), and asked if I was looking for places for just myself in the meantime. Um, no, I've committed to living with friends, NYC is ungodly expensive for singles (which hello don't you know?), and, regardless, I'd be fine subletting somewhere for even a month but you told me I can stay "as long as I need," so if that's changed for whatever reason just tell me and I'll move out. I'm beyond thankful to be here but will not remain if I'm not wanted - I just need you to tell me.

So yeah, things are all over the place, per usual.

Great day, went to the movies to watch despicable me 2 with my boi/some friends. We had exchanged some codes for free tickets online but when we got there the function was sold out so we couldn't buy tickets for the rest of the group. We sold our code tickets at regular price to some guy and his two daughters, then randomly ran into a friend who gave us codes to buy tickets half off. In the end we got to buy tickets for a latter function for all of us AND had extra money to get some chocolate and cookies c:
