Did Trait Boost Potion glitched?

I don't know but this is kind of weird. I can't attach a screenshot because it happened without expectation.
My charm was lvl19. I use the Xenon Cap on my BaM, received 500 charm and rose up to lvl 20
I received the Potion, then use it, it said I've received ~10k charm but when I checked the Profession window my charm was still the same before I used it.
This is annoying. Anyone encountered the same problem?

I think the text says something different than what you actually received. Might want to see if any of the other traits increased.

Sometimes it says you gained Diligence, when in fact it was Insight.
