Welp, apparently no one actually wanted to hire me from the slew of interviews last week. And since it looks like next week will be an off week freelancing, BLERGH. I need paid work y'all. Rejection is totally fine and I've moved past this round, but it's hard when you don't have anything else going on for the immediate future.

I've been landscaping the yard this week. I probably washed enough dirt and a seed down there for it to grow.

Met a girl 3 days ago that gives me that giddy feeling I haven't had in years. Regardless of how boring or unattractive I am, I'm going to try my hardest not to screw this up... for my mental/emotional health.

Dad is buying buy me an upgrade for my car stereo for my birthday! Sucks that a new stereo would be too expensive (Mazdas require a special panel for a new stereo because of how the air conditioning is and everything). Should be rocking louder after today

Stayed up til 3 AM singing with an amazing girl with an amazing voice... Time to sleep, and hopefully dream... although I'm not holding my breath on dreaming, since the one yesterday was the first dream I've had in 8 months.

ok-ish i guess. Went to school early for 9am submission, then went to class, completed my database for a web application we're building, yada yada.
Today wasnt supposed to be "see crush" day but he ended up in my hospitality class for idk what reason. uhm, all those little feelings are gone(thankfully) but i still find him attractive, so idek. am i getting over him or what. Lets wait for tuesday and see if i feel like exploding when hes around.

ugh, work was pretty bad too. I always get the worst of customers especially during the great singapore sale. People will literally shout at me for a refund on a 5 dollar item and they're not even supposed to be exchangeable or refundable. Havent been in the mood for cashiering for the whole week and thats coming form someone who prefers cashiering over any other zones on the sales floor.

I watched Supernatural all day while procrastinating from emailing one of my professors about my semester abroad research project. So I think it would be considered a really productive day.

I'm just sitting around doing nothing... since it's >110F out today. :V

Where are the resumes going now, any new game plan.

Still the same industries, essentially, just with a narrower focus. The dream job would be anything in fashion editorial or dealing specifically with pieces, so as an editorial assistant for a magazine, sample or styling assistant at a major retailer, etc. But at this point I'm happy with anything salaried in editorial, PR, fashion in general, social media, ~marketing. I'm also no longer applying to FT sales positions given InStyle's confirmation, so just PT options to find something for weekends.

Specifically resumes are going to wherever has jobs; thank god NYC is a global powerhouse, meaning there are, of course, openings all over the place all the time. I will start emailing my resume to fashion industry contacts and in blind emails down mastheads on Monday, however, just to see what happens.

Segway to OT: InStyle booked me today through the end of August, except for two weeks in July, so I'm really happy for having things a little more concrete, if only for the next two months.

My parents also arrived today for a weekend visit, and we're going into the city tomorrow for museums and great restaurants. Can't wait!
