MapleStory Adventures Closing
#21
Dudewitbow Wrote:the game was even more of a money grab than MS is

That's just...sad.

It took me a few minutes before I realized what MapleStory Adventures was. I never touched it. :/

This is the first time I've heard of this as well.

xparasite9 Wrote:What schemes? How dare you insinuate that Nexon is doing anything wrong at all! You should be ashamed of yourself! Nexon is doing a charity to you! You should be glad they even let you play! You don't HAVE to play this game you know. It's a free-to-play game! It's not pay-to-win because there is no "win". Being unable to defeat certain end-game bosses without spending thousands of dollars on Miracle Cubes doesn't mean anything! You don't HAVE to defeat Chaos Hilla, you know!

Stop looking for sympathy, after 4 pages you don't understand that anything that involves legality stops at the point you buy the nx card. By the way, raffles can be done by profit organizations. You either get a free ticket (Car's typically do this in malls), or you purchase something within the store and your receipt is essentially a ticket for a raffle (grocery/department stores do this). In nexon's case, they could literally put a poker card game in the game, but still be within guide lines, because, once again, the law does not recognize NX transactions. The law recognizes the card purchase, which rewards you points to purchase items with no value outside of the game. The TOS actually defines this, and even if a black market emerges, nexon is not held responsible, especially if they are taking steps to try to stop it. The end, you have no argument.

Anyway, I played this game for about an hour before I got tired of "BUY NX" getting rammed down my goddamn throat.

On Topic: I heard of the game when it came out, but I don't have Facebook so I never tried it. Looks like I didn't miss anything.

Damn I thought you said maplestory adventurers. I thought you meant they were getting rid of the explorer/adventurer class and I was about to rage so hard.

I played it for a few days, and then realised it sucks without friends who play it and it's a big moneygrab and I got the hell of ot there.

Aw, looks like I missed a good show.
Wait.. *remembers that this is a forum*
OT: This game literally sucked balls. Instead of mana, they got energy, it was a click-and-hit and it only had henesys.

I think I was around level 34 in MapleStory Adventures. It was not too bad, until there was a main quest that required me to get items from friends, so I could not continue the storyline. That was when I decided to quit.

The game was updated and it included other towns. I stopped playing after they added Kerning and Perion.

I only got to the first Kerning map and then I stopped because it got repetitive.

Monster Life should be on Facebook.

"MapleStory Monster Life" or "MapleStory Creatures"

Its from Wastebook anyway not surprised lol

The game itself would have been better if it was run from a separate website, like, oh idk, nexon.net perhaps.

Wastebook in a nutshell "Please spam invite all your friends to get free Energy, Please Buy 3000000000000$ to speed up the upgrade!, Enjoy our ads blocking your in-game fun!"

So yeah, as for the actual game though... I played it for a bout 4 hours till it kept slowing down, and crashing my PC. I uninstalled the game, and stuck to the real Maple Story, kinda forgot about it after that. xD

P.S. = No offense to anyone who like facebook or its games, just typing about my feelings towards it xD

Yeah, I'm extremely surprised there is no facebook/mobile integration for Monster Life (yet).
Though the failing of Maplestory Adventures probably doesn't bode well for that happening.
