Am I the only one annoyed by the fact you can't see each others skills? (Or damage)
#21
Still the most simple thing would be a simple turn on or off damage numbers from others.
(Or make them transparent or whatever?)

OR... Just stop giving certain skills tons of lines and stick to one or two so they actually match the skill its animation and less numbers on the screen.
If only..

Can you not see debuffs on the monster from those skills? That's how it works in KMS and its fine, not to mention we just ask each other who's going to bind/when/etc.

Yes, I'm able to see the Magic Crash and Blind debuffs that my friend inflicts on enemies. I'm assuming all the other debuffs work as well.

I'm fine with this change. It hopefully means now I can boss with my Kaiser and Lumi guildies and not have my PC scream in agony. Though I'll still avoid partying with them just in case it does jack squat. :p I never pay attention to the animations and amount of damage my party members do anyway, so it's not a big deal for me. If I'm curious, I just ask my friend how much damage he did to the boss after it's dead.

EDIT: I often had people demand me to stop using Poison Mist during boss runs, so this change also means I don't get to hear that crap anymore. Heart

I'm grateful for this change considering how unstable the game is right now. If the client wasn't a giant mess and crashed from everything, then it wouldn't be such a big deal.

This change is essential to me. I boss all the time with a Kaiser friend and it's impossible to see damage reflect animations while he spams gigas. I have to ask him to stop attacking at Shadow Empress and other DR bosses or I can't attack at all for fear of dying.

i like being able to see when someone in my party casts the paladin bind shield or DS bind and such, since usually they're cast very close to when the boss is supposed to reflect or something, it makes people in the party stop attacking sometimes.

Well i would like to see binds/crash too, but at least they can say the time or use a call.

do macro messages still show? if so i guess that could be an option.

I actually welcome this change, given how the game still has that awful memory leak from years ago. If I boss with anyone in a long run it is bound to crash because of skill animations, so now there is a lot less risk in doing large runs. It also means I can actually see when DR is being casted instead of it being swamped in damage numbers Biggrin

I welcome it too. Previously, with all the attack animations going on, I couldn't keep track of my character and I would end up doing stupid stuff like running into bosses because I couldn't see.

I don't really like it, but it does have its advantages. Going to i.e. Horntail was pretty bad for me previously because I had no idea what my character was doing and I often ended up walking into the tail and dying, but on the other hand it looks strange and at stuff like Empress, where there's a bit more space I prefer seeing what others are doing and knowing when to attack (Because I see they stop attacking themselves, much faster than chat).
I'd like it to be a toggle option personally.

I wish you could turn off your own Gigas... I can't attack bosses on my Kaiser properly except when it's locked down and can't DR (or I'm transformed) cause I just miss all the cues.

Would it kill Nexon to make DR and stuff more visible than a tiny little purple icon, and an animation just like 3 other skills the boss uses, anyway?

having boss buffs appear under the boss (kinda like empress when she goes into her shield with a status effect) would work i guess.

Well, if Nexon was willing to put an effort into it, make two options in the system options menu:

1) Others' skill animations:
[ ] Off
[x] No flashy (ultimates and the like can recieve a "flashy" tag)
[ ] Show all

2) Damage numbers:
[ ] None
[x] Just yours
[ ] Show all

Mix and match what you want to see.

Are you kidding? I always watched Cygnus videos and thought "How the hell can you tell when she's casting Damage Reflect behind all those numbers?"

I actually doubt Nexon would go and handle something that precise.

But from your checklist, I prefer having my own skills + binds/ smite, and being able to see only my damage.

Unfortunately, skills with CD can“t be added to macros.

Well, they handle it on a per map basis as of now. When training, I see other folks damage just fine. It's only at Bosses that I don't.

And GMs won't be seeing damage either...
