Agreed. Pretty much nothing changed from what I can tell. Compared to what Mages, Warriors, and Archers got, the Corsair revamp seems really lazy in comparison.
The mobility changes are nice and hopefully Brainscrambler is fast enough to be beneficial to DPS now.

I'd prefer to have two separate classes.
And then there's character cards, too.
500m might seem like a lot at first, but it's nothing compared to how much it would cost to psok all of my gear.

0-10 = 10 levels
10-30 = 20 levels
30-60 = 30 levels
60-100 = 40 levels
100-150 = 50 levels.
BUT NOO.
Whatever, doesn't affect me that much.
At least it's not as cryptic as 90 levels for a small powerup.

Would that spell 3rd weapon potentials for the non-emblem classes?

It's an interesting idea for sure. Kind of final fantasy ish? You can only switch between adventurers so if a new class comes out you have to train it from nothing and they might not release more adventurers available for switching to. They're making the adventurer branches have a lot of good mechanics that are worth switching to that class for. Like, if one class in a branch is stronger than another in a certain way you can have those skills relatively instantly. It also lessens the conditions needed for a community to drum up the strength needed to put together a bossing squad. People can pick adventurers and have 2 or 3 times the skill set to choose from in the end game because of switching.
...I can go between buccaneer and cannoneer at will.

Arent you guys forgetting something here? Its not just no need for scissor benefit, what about all the quests you've done? Your inner ability? Your ambition? Willpower? Untradeable items that cannot be scissored?
Nothing but your primary stat (for some jobs), skills and weapon will change but you will keep EVERYTHING else. I'd say 500m for new skills is NOTHING compared to what you obtain or rather save of money/time to transfer and what not.

Very good points
As the game progresses, stupid things like the price you're forced to pay for PSoKing everything (even worse in KMS with their limited scissor counts) get ironed out and those of us that experienced them in the past always suffer. I'm positive that this system isn't going to be as cheap and easy as it seems when it hits the live server. We still don't even know what the price is for switching jobs in the first place! Just like everything else in the RED Patches so far, they're going to balance this out soon, and if they don't, you can sign me up for the pineapple them for this system camp.

4th job NL
If this is what they have in store for the NL, my last and final thief hope stands with the Night Walker.
Edit: I suppose the 5th job might change it all though.

I completely agree. I thought about making an archmage after I finished leveling my bishop, but I never committed to it because I was losing out so many things, like what you've mentioned and extra event inventory slots that I can't live without. My equips are basically all untradable and can't be obtained again (like the old silent crusade shoulder, or the gm scrolls that I perfected my staff with) so remaking would be like starting from scratch which I definitely can't afford.

Edit2: Okay, link seems to be broken now, sorry guys. But for those who didn't see it in time, the cost in mesos to change job was something like 475m.

The video did say it all really. Unless you are interested in the DPS and pomegranate.

Just wondering if anyone knows whether skills that require skill books are completely reset if you switch classes. It would suck having to get skill books each time....

Mastery book levels are reset, so it would be a safe bet assuming that skill books are reset as well.
I foresee a boom in final cut/phantom blow prices

the only issue i see with changing classes (besides the cost) is having to find skill books, like hero's ACA, that is gonna be annoying.

It would be awesome if the requirement involved hunting for absurdly rare drops, a la Lunar Dews.
I really like this class change idea in theory, but it sort of ruins the spirit of the game for me, if you get what I mean...

You would still have familiars, maybe greed pendant, all your equips and links and passives etc, your level...that won't be so hard imo. You probably won't be switching daily but this is soooooo easy compared to before.
