Bieber is leaving earth

... But not for long

http://mashable.com/2013/06/06/justin-bi...-galactic/
Quote:When you're as famous as Justin Bieber, the 19-year-old pop star who this week became the first Twitter user to reach 40 million followers, you can spend money extravagantly.

His lastest purchase? A ticket on space tourism company Virgin Galactic's SpaceShipTwo, which costs $250,000 a seat. His manager Scooter Braun will be tagging along.

After Virgin Galactic founder Sir Richard Branson revealed the news on Twitter, Bieber teased in a tweet that he wants to record a music video while in space. If he completes that feat, Bieber would become the second person to record a music video in space — right behind Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield, who recorded a song aboard the International Space Station in December and followed up with a video of a different song in May.

No further details of Bieber's trip are available. The price to ride SpaceShipTwo recently increased from $200,000 a head to $250,000 after the company conducted a test flight in April.

Some, like Bill Nye the Science Guy, are waiting for the price to dip before committing to a seat on Virgin Galactic's spaceline. "[I] don't feel like I should spend $200,000 on a plane ticket to go to sub-orbital flight, straight up and straight down," Nye recently told Mashable. "But if the price comes down, I'll go, heck yeah."

I sure am glad this astronaut got there to sing first! Justin beiber being the first person to sing in space would be a huge let down for the human race.

I just noticed the music video part and I'm very worried. Marsians might consider that an act of war.

"Virgin Galactic", huh?
Why do I think that this is a pun in some way? Nah, just me.
