I want a coach mode to be implemented. It'd be nice if I could actually watch a friend play in real time and comment on their play.

Mek is actually pretty decent on Nyx.

Yeah, that must be awesome but I'd feel kinda under pressure at first, knowing that someone is watching. Even when I play with you guys I feel weird because I'm not getting that many last hits and in general not being that useful in the game.

Oh, and Mek on that game would've been pointless. Everyone in both teams was dying so fast and so much that I feel it would've been pointless and they were all apart from each other until very very late.

What do you mean? He's got decent int, his spells aren't super expensive, and he usually gets Arcane boots. He's better on mana than say Earthshaker or Vengeful Spirit.

Besides, Mek only costs like 85 net mana once you factor in the +5 int it gives.

My bad. I was thinking too much about early game, when mana issues are painfully apparent on Nyx. You also got a point on the actual Mek cost, but oh man I'd need a competent team to maximize the Mek heals. Otherwise it's a waste of 2.3k gold that could have gone towards a Dagon/Ghost Scepter.

you can use shadow blade or dagon or mek actives if you get a soul ring or point booster. it's amusing.

people were trying to figure out if you could go super medic bear with the new bloodstone; sadly suiciding bear doesn't activate the heal.

Did they change Windrunner's shackle-shot?? Or is she bugged or something? Successful shackle-shots in almost every position, feels much much much easier than the first games I had with her. I was watching a stream earlier and they had a similar problem, "successful" shackle-shot with no trees, creeps or heroes around.

That sounds like a huge bug. Shackleshot should only last as long as a mini-stun if nothing is around to shackle onto.

Hackle-shot fucks up sometimes because dota2 angle-detection tends to be quite messed up every now and then.

Also if i wasn't so fucking busy i'd post a lot more here because i have a lot of things to say about some of the things discussed on the previous page.

How can Slark be shut down? We did kill him a bunch of times, but he'd always take at least 1 or 2 of us with him, usually more with Riki finishing the job. In this particular game, we had Dragon Knight, Lina, Pugna, Leshrac, and Viper vs Slark, Riki, Windrunner, Axe, and I forget who else. Games against Slark are so frustrating.

Gems and sentries. Essentially.
In that game pugna should banish anyone that is jumped upon. Else just get vision, stun him and burst him as fight starts, he has pitiful base stats and can be dealt with before he snowballs in a teamfight.
The only way to really handle him is gems or sentries since he'll just dispell dust.

In addition, Slark has to snowball to be of any use, so keep wards up and avoid getting picked off. Every kill Slark gets makes him a lot stronger for a couple minutes.

I've had an idea of a DoTA meetup where us more experienced DoTA players will coach their teams of Southperrians new to the game. Helps that there's in-game chat so we don't gotta type everything. I guess I'll post details about it when I get home.

it was all the mouz vs. DD.dota (Quantic Gaming as of the start of the set actually) games in grand final of EMS summer cup #3.
