I don't even watch it much, but this seems like a really great idea. It should really appeal to the GMS player base vs the usual asian content that is inherited from other versions.

I've never heard of Sword Art Online but based on the poll... it's massively popular :f6: I guess I'll have to check it out later...

An adventure time pq would be amazing. Saving the princesses from the ice king could be fun. Maybe some chairs/rainicorn mount as rewards.

I completely agree with Adventure Time. It fits the comedy and cute artstyle of Maplestory really well. And considering that this is GMS, it would be nice if we did have some western stuff.

JMS has had anime tie-ins, and those were effective because anime is a japanese product, and I think something western like Adventure Time would be a big pull for western players.
Anime tie-ins would be appreciated by a minority compared to the kind of appeal that Adventure Time has.

Also Naruto and FMA stuff has already been in game, and have already been done in JMS. Let's have something original.

Adventure Time! As suggested before, a Jake/Cake and a Rainicorn pet. I WILL GIVE MONEY FOR THESE.
I wouldn't even bother with the other crossovers suggested if they came, except maybe DBZ.

I dislike the idea of a Sword Art Online tie-in. It has no real recognizable characters, no special weapons, no ideas for chairs or pets or anything. It seems like people are just voting for it because it's overrated, and ignoring the creative possibilities.

what about touhou? i heard it's quite easy to obtain permission to use the characters/material (as long as it's not for profit, and even then it's still fairly easy :U) it's not a TV show however.

Touhou is so niche outside of Japan. As much as I would love a Marisa Hat or a Yukkuri Alice pet, we need to think of something more feasible.

FMA was already done in jMS but I guess it would work in the gMS as well. I don't know about SAO though because there's no dubbed version and having a japanese anime crossing over with an english version of MapleStory would kind of be weird. Then again we have Kanna and Hayato.

SAO is pretty decent in my opinion. However I agree with you that crossovering with it would be a bad idea because the well of stuff you could do with it is limited, I think the well for stuff we could do is far greater with Adventure Time.

I wouldn't mind something like a Kyuubi fox pet in MS, wonder how that would sell xP.

I'd love a SAO crossover. Kirito and Asuna's armor would be pretty cool Cash Items, or regular items (to anvil). If they're cash items, permanent options would be cool. Quests and NPC's would be cool too.
