Monster Life Breeding and Play Reference (WIP)

Dunno if playing and combining helps them level either (it'd be nice if someone cleared that up for me)

It's most obvious when playing with level 1 monsters, yes, playing gives exp. (it's about 40% of level 1, much smaller amount of higher levels)

Haven't tested if combining does. I took SSes of playing giving exp gains.

About playing giving exp, I see that pretty clearly now. Still unsure about combining, could've sworn someone's monster leveled up after I combined with it, but maybe I was just tired and hasty. I guess it'd be an easy thing to find out, but I don't plan to do any combining for awhile til I get myself back up to 100k warus. S+S fusing really eats through one's funds. Yeesh.

Has anyone noticed if level makes a difference? I only us my lv11 A+ rank for combining and I get more A+ when combining with lv10+.

It's still completely random imo, I got C/B from fusing my lv7 A+ with lv7 A+ yet I got A+ from fusing my lv7 with lv3s.

I went through five or six of the big categories (Birds, Cats, etc.) recently to update every single farm while adding the new invisible Date Updated column and while it may only be a limited sample size and observation, I have to agree that level does have some sort of effect, at least Level 10+. For example, one particular farm with no upgrades and no NX but a Level 13 B+ managed to generate 5 A+. Couldn't they have used the A+ to make the other A+? Sure, but the A+ were all bred on the same day, all at the end of the line (the B+ at the beginning). I'm not one for coincidences that keep appearing and that wasn't the only example, there were several anomalous high level A/B+ monsters in the early slots that resulted in higher grade monsters later in the line.

Triple Gold Stars for a lot of you! Many of you started adding an eighth | to accommodate the aforementioned new invisicolumn without me even asking you. I was a bit confused at first, but very thankful, thanks everyone! I can work with a seven, but the new preferred format is: Farm Name|#SS|#S|#A+|#A|#B+|#B|#C| just the number; template: | | | | | | | |

Lastly, some of you are adding farms and I suspect that they are your farms but can't quite tell. I catch the fellows that make comments using "I" or "my" but the rest of you that just list your farms let me know, I would love to add the Almighty Chinchilla to your name.

Can't speak for other farms but my A+s are all (except the first) bred from other A+s. Currently my A+ breeding has resulted in 4 A+s, 8 As (all of which now deleted) and 1 C of a different type.

The reason most of my As/A+s appear on the same day is that that's the day I decided to upgrade, on account of having ~130k waru. It cost maybe 40k worth before I got an A+ but after that more came quickly.

Right now I'm saving for special shop items, otherwise I'd be perfectly happy to dump a bunch more Waru into A+ & A+ combinations, keeping track of the levels this time.

Update to Mindcrack:

6 S Rank Dragons, 3 of them are Leviathian.

For those nurture monster-type quests, I just buy that C-rank box in the shop for 1k waru over and over again until I get what I need for the quest. I think that's better than combining for a specific type. I also save a slot in the storage building for swapping and releasing for questing.

When combining with my monsters, I get mostly nothing but toy-type monsters. So... My farm is basically a toy factory and it'll probably remain like that for a while. But yeah, I use my rank A+ monsters and combine them with other S and A+ monsters, and have gotten mostly B to A+ stuff back so far. Levels of the monsters seems to be the biggest influence in chance when combining for higher rank stuff, so I guess it would be wiser to nurture them up to Lv7+ first before blowing waru into it. I'll wait until I get one up to lv12+ before trying to combine for S rank stuff.
