I think I just found a bug in Monster Life. I was lagging pretty badly, and when I tried setting a building down it didn't leave my inventory for a few seconds. Out of curiosity I tried setting the building in another location while the first one was still being made, and I ended up setting the same building in two separate locations.

Edit: Looks like it's not really an exploit though. The second building vanished after I left my farm and came back, which was kind of what I was expecting honestly.

me and bomber (but mainly bomber, i'm shooting for waru right now) are trying to get it, so yeah.

@above: the second building is a "ghost" building, it does nothing and will disappear upon relogging

I'm having trouble accessing Monster Life. Yay.

Do the potentials from Monster Life even work?

I released an ox that was supposedly giving me +2 str. My str didn't change. Any idea why?

You can't stack more than 1 of the same monster type.

I currently have 3 soldiers and 4 bovines, and going by a naked character it does seem only one of each works.

So I just got 10000 Waru... is that alot? I know you can get gems, but what's the usual amount of Waru you get from the daily box? Can easily afford The Lumiere (as if I'm really getting it now... lvl 30!), but I'm aiming for the 19x19 house, which I should be able to get by this evening. The achievement log for getting the homestead measures based on your farm area (now it's 15x15 = 225 [unit area], completion is 17x17 = 289, Manor is 19x19 = 361). Even here you can see that expanding is extremely worth it. Using only 2x2 buildings, you can get 50 buildings on a 15x15 farm (there will be dead space unless you optimise with 3x3 buildings), while 17x17 gets you an extra 8x2-1 = 15 buildings, and 19x19 gets you yet an additional 9x2-1 = 17 buildings.



After my exams, I'll spend half a day to crunch out the numbers for all the shops.

Captain Obvious: Gems >>>> Waru. But the secret shop does have very decent stuff for the Waru cost.

I rarely log in, and not for very long because exams are close to my brow, I basically have to let it sit there and let it churn Waru. Because of that, the most cost-effective building is the red mushroom, for it's max capacity. Then it's that blue thingy with a capacity of 360.

I think you get the the 'Middle Class' achievement when you have 500k Waru, so apparently not by Nexon's standards.

I just combined an A+ bird and an A+ cat and got a fucking B cat. Like wtp.

You'd be surprised how many C ranked monsters I got from combining A+s.. For 3k waru I'd think the chances of at least another A+ would be higher. I'm definitely not looking forward to trying for S/SS.

If you stop receiving story quests, it's because you need to level up your farm. It's obvious in hindsight, but I wish Nexon had included some kind of notification that I needed to level up my farm before continuing on with the story quests. I honestly thought I was dealing with a glitch. :/

But anyway, Monster Life is more fun than MapleStory. I just wish it didn't lag so much. I accidentally released a rank B monster, despite selecting a rank C monster, because I hovered my mouse over the former after clicking the release monster button for the latter...

I dislike the NPCs and find them very annoying. The actual farming part itself is quite fun in my opinion and is a nice thing to waste time on occasionally. It isn't by any means great.

This is true. What matters is not which monster you right click, but which monster you hover your mouse over last. It's also noteworthy that you can't release monsters from your barn.
