[KMS]Inkwell Diary # 72 - Night Walker skill preview
byakugan Wrote:This skill must have a cooldown I'm sure, but even if that cooldown is 10 mins between activations DrK's will be trully immortal out of boss fights.

This gives me hopes that they are actually trying to follow those quotes in the RED event when redesigning adventurers. Unbreakable defense for Paladins, incredible damage for heroes., etc

In before everyone cries because Heroes get the highest damage while defense and invincibility are useless for the other jobs.
Invincibility is useful for paladins. It makes them better Damage Reflect breaking mules.

Not really. You could always pot up when it kicks in. It's like say, if you mistime the boss's DR and get killed by it, you won't die like everyone else would.

Not the best skill, I agree, but we'll need more details on Reincarnation and any other new skills that might complement it before we can pass judgement on it.

Damn, this skill is reminding me of:

Sephie Wrote:I can think of some shonen esque type skills that could go with this skill... like a suicide skill that gives you and your party bonus damage for how much HP you were missing, purposely using it to trigger reincarnation and come back a complete monster.

Then you end up dying for real not too much later and be mopy until the writers/devs buff you again. Just like shonen!

A berserker? Just like Huskar from Dota!

The only problem is that bosses keep doing %MaxHP damage nowadays... Well let's see to what extent the reincarnation skill can save DKs from dying then.

Obvious Shirou is obvious.

Back to the topic, this makes me wonder how they're going to revamp the other adventurers like..pirates? They promised mobility an flexibility IIRC. Lets see what will they do to make em a REAL PIRATE!

Long attacks made up of a chain of dummies (like a macro, basically) and movement skills that allow you to dodge cancel out of them?

No idea what they could give Captains. I'd say movement skills are probably a given though, considering what Nexon promised...

Oh of course. I'm fucking dumb.

For some reason I was thinking that the "back to life" status would be temporary. too much League of Legends and Borderlands 2 on the brain.

It's a nice freezing attack but what I want to know is if it also binds/disable boss attacks and adds DoT or the like.

I think it's awesome, but why a dragon?

It seems like a keydown skill that works similarly to Carrion Breath (only using this as an example because they're both breaths), with the blocks of ice appearing on the enemy for as long as the key is held.

I wonder if they used the Qualm Guardian to show that this new skill bypasses freeze immunity.

Shame that Dark Knights didn't get an animation like I/L Archmages for their diary entry.

Maybe it's a passive skill?

The diary entry specified that it had a passive effect, so it's likely that it's an active skill with a passive effect. I might not want to always be revived upon death. But of course, it's not concrete proof.

Even if it were completely passive, it would be disappointing if it didn't have some sort of animation.

This only makes it all the more suspenseful though!

Perhaps it's a transformation mode of sorts with a cooldown when your HP reaches zero.

Looks like a dragon to me.

Omg, just give this to your nova mage, I/L does not need any dragons!

It's this except purple and with beholders instead of cards. I can't believe you guys are buying into this "new" skill for Dark Knights.

I don't know if that skill is any good but man it looks pretty.

But... but... they made a diary entry about it! Frown

I shall remain delusional :l

I think it's super cool that the generated ice seems to depend on the shape of the monster (how does that even work?!). Also, doesn't seem to be coincidental that they decided to use an ice skill on an ice monster.

was reminded of her, one of my favorite enemies, albeit very abusable with fire-chip

if that thing is true then one more color for our rainbowness in 4th job.

I don't see how a skill that doesn't even belong to us (notice the Aeas) makes us more rainbow-ish. I do hope I'm proven wrong though, hehe. There's a chance with that sexy-looking dragon...! If Buster and Fury didn't change colours, we would have more rainbowness.

Also, I fixed your image link.

wouldn't be the first time nexon gets the weapon that isn't :U but yea, had just woken up, i certainly don't work well in the mornings ._.

if fury and buster didn't change colors they'd be that same color though, they'd have to remain orange for it to rainbow up (purple zerk, orange furybust, ice dragon thinguie)
