If you hit the X, leave Monster Life, delete from buddy list, re-enter Monster Life and add as a buddy you get the Waru, I did yesterday xD

maybe the last slot should be the most of monster type you have(and quantity?).... since there's a lot of quest that ask you to "play" with x type of monsters.
