Fixing MapleStory

Max's blog says the BaM revamp was cancelled.

1) I know.
2) They still designed a whole new class. My opinion of it's direction for the game is still justified.

RED is an opportunity to fix the things they broke in unlimited, i think in unlimited they had the their hearts(?) in the right place, but just didn't execute well on paper. Hopefully RED fixes some of these things. Im really really hoping nexon doesn't charge nx for use of the auction house, but that they also keep stores up. Being able to go through the fm and find things that you weren't looking for at cheap prices is always a good thing

I don't think it's been cancelled, I think it just wasn't refined enough to be patched into KMS yet. I would be very surprised if the new Blow skills don't make it into live KMS. I hope they're tweaking (read: removing) the fist skills because those are horrible.

It occurred to me earlier today that another pretty decent method of reducing the gap between the unfunded and the funded would be the ability to craft cubes with professions. Occult could be very easy to craft, regular would be reasonable, super should be difficult and I think enlightening should either be Primal Essence tier annoying or remain an NX item.

There have been a lot of really good suggestions though, glad I decided to make this thread even though it is somewhat depressing that the vast majority of the people that have posted have agreed that MapleStory is broken and urgently needs fixing, but I guess that has been common knowledge for a while anyway.

A nebulite revamp (making them obtainable again) would also be very much appreciated... I don't know why it's been so long in GMS without any nebulite updates.

Old Maple Story : Old Exp chart, old HP/Boss HP, before everything was straight up given, original PQ levels, PQ giving good exp again

+ New MapleStory : All the new content, just adjusted to fit more properly with the old exp, old hp, and everything else

- Cubes, and other absolutely overpowered things.

Just my input

The game has become to solo instead of party based. well, grind = party, boss = solo. I feel if anything it should be the opposite.

-The inflation in damage that has been going on pretty much since potential got released is way too big. Your range was ~10k just pre-potential and you were the strongest of your class in the server. Now look at KMS, multiple people have a 1.999.999~1.999.999 range and where as the strongest class: NLs, with SE pre-potential would hit 50k crits. People with a Xenon, 2~2 mil range and 300% boss damage will hit 50 mil*4 and 35 mil*4. The huge inflation pretty much ruined the game. I think they nerf most skills in MS so that level 1 on your attacking skill isn't enough to train this fast, so that leveling your skill will be much more important and so that all those passive effects that just keep getting added get a huge nerf. They should do something that causes a huge deflation (let's say put all scrolls in shops for about 50 mil each.) And they should make training a lot slower. Nexon said that Big Bang would make training approximately 2x faster for 120~200, but it has made it more than 80x faster thanks to things like Strongholds, and in GMS things like all their exclusive content.

Just thought of something. What about making cubes available from Part Time jobs?
