Wii U Discussion: Super Mario 3D World out in all the places (that matter!)
You're assuming that they have nothing to show?

Sometimes, I do have to wonder if some people are actually paying attention.
They already promised we'd get Smash Bros, Mario kart U and a 3D Super Mario for Wii U shown at E3. That together with an inevitable showing of pikmin again (lol), some actual footage of bayonetta 2 , a new X trailer/possibly gameplay and date, Super Luigi U, Pokemon scramble U(lol) the wonderful 101, actual footage of Wind Waker U, Yarn Yoshi, SMT X Fire Emblem and anything they have yet to announce would make a great E3 showing, and most importantly

Will make a great nintendo direct around E3 time.

If none of those appeal to you (Mario, Zelda, Pikmin, Fire Emblem, Smash Bros, Mario Kart), you're probably not in the audience for a nintendo console anyway, and why are you even in this thread?

Don't think so closed minded. From reading all of these threads i've notice that most everyone here is a nintendo fan one way or another. its just some of them don't think they are headed in a good direction. byakugan; was just expressing his concerns that not having a big outlet at E3 may impact them negatively. And you have to admit hes right about 3rd parties just rehashing remakes of older games to the wii U. I myself am wondering why every other game I hear about is a game already released on PS3 or 360. And I don't even have any system of that generation.

But nintendo is going to have a big outlet at the show floor. Literally the only difference is they aren't going to have an hour long presentation for the press at the nokia theatre.

byakugan Wrote:I was hoping to see a lot of games being revealed in it for the Wii U and the fact Nintendo is doing directs instead might hint that they just don't have enough material yet to show.

byakugan Wrote:Don't take it like I think all that's a fact and trying to sow panic, like I said, it just doesn't bid good for the Wii U.

Those parts should have answered everything you said in that post. Planned games =/= ready to show, Just because all the games you mentioned are on works to be launched for the Wii U doesn't mean they've got enough material to show them off in E3, and that might be why they choice to pull back. Look at Bayonetta 2 for a little example, last trailer was only commentary from the developers and concept art, that's no material for something like E3. We only know for sure that Mario Universe (lol), Mario Kart and Smash bros are showing in the E3, wonderful 101 and pikmin... we've known and seen enough footage of both months ago, why would we be excited about seeing more? Heck shouldn't they have been released alreay? They were planned for the first quarter of the console, same for Luigi U.

Anyway, it's not like I am trying to be pesimistic and drag everyone in here along, I'm just worried and I know I'm not the only one, let them convince me otherwise.

Can't we keep the complaining about E3 in the E3 thread?

So I've now had my Wii U crash twice in about 200 hours of usage. It's kind of worrying. Yeah, 200 hours is a long time to have it on total, but I don't think I've ever experienced my PS3 crashing in 4 years of having it, and if it has it was never during the random things that my Wii U has crashed on.

It hasn't crashed because of overheating, or overuse, or anything like that....just random ass operations have crashed it. The first time it crashed, I turned it on and went into the System Settings to see if there was a System Update. The System Settings splash screen never finished loading. It just got stuck there forever. The system didn't officially crash, however an hour later it wasn't in it, and it didn't respond to any of the buttons on the machine. I had to pull the plug. This morning, it just crashed going into the DLC for MH3U. It was checking the current DLC downloaded, and then it hard froze with repeating sounds. Had to pull the plug again. Considering I've only had my Wii U for 2 months, this isn't exactly a good sign to me.

Oh hey.

Sonic Lost worlds announced exclusively for 3DS/ Wii U. And new mario and sonic.

And there is a third in the works. This new SEGA/Nintendo alliance is cool, with Nintendo working in the games with SEGA we can somewhat get a guarantee of the quality of those games. I expect something on Donkey Kong's games level of quality.

I still can't get sold on Game and Wario. Its a relief its price isn't that of a full new game but 40$ still is a bit too much IMO.

On the other hand I wish they had taken this E3 to talk about all the already revealed games to be released like RE, Bayonetta, W101 , Pikmin and such, and reserved the next one during E3 for only non revealed ones like the Mario and Sonic olympics, Sonic lost world, Mario U, SMB, and such, to cause a much greater impact.

This Nintendo Direct kind of disappointed, at least for me.

A new Sonic game is interesting to hear about, but a reveal with no information about it other than a single screenshot is kind of a waste of time. It's easier and less time consuming to reveal that with a news article, in my opinion.

I don't really care for Sonic + Mario at the Olympics, so that portion really was a waste of time for me.

New Super Luigi U...eh...at $20 I feel like they're milking New Super Mario Bros even more than I thought possible.

Animal Crossing and Pikmin 3 was interesting, but we already knew about those games and considering the Animal Crossing part was just a copypasta from another video from the way the guy was speaking, that seemed completely unnecessary. Pikmin 3 was the only interesting thing there.

I also found it amusing that they acted like a $1 discount on the Oracle games was the biggest thing to happen to Virtual Console since its inception.

When I first read about the Nintendo Sonic thing I thought Sega had let Nintendo make a Sonic game. Then I read it was just about exclusivity, mehÂ…

Releasing New Super Luigi U at retail for a limited time is interesting. A future collector's item I guess. So where is the Green Luigi Wii U?

It kind of is, eShop discounts are a joke. It will probably never go on sale again either. I would love if they had proper sales I would probably buy more.

I....also found that to be a bit odd, but sure. 2 dollars off total. Why not.

Gahhh gamer logic. People complain about how 3rd party support for Nintendo is small. Nintendo gets 3rd party support and fans want to ruin that 3rd party support with a petition....

Make up your mind gamers.

It's as bad as the PSO2 whiners that there's no US server yet.

Found the best response on Facebook:
Quote:Tom Wickham: Hey, remember back in the day when Sonic was exclusive to just SEGA systems? Those must have been dark times for you sorry sacks signing this moronic petition.

Because gamers are one whole hive mind, and its totally the same people who wanted nintendo to get more games that are complaining that nintendo is getting more games.

Europes direct didn't mention the oracle games at all, but with the oracle games, it kinda is. Honestly, the zelda games on GB/GBC are one of the few games to not age terribly, and with them, the GB/GBC vc has pretty much every worthwhile game they have that they could put on the 3DS. And no, pokemon doesn't count as good because in retrospect gen 1/2 are terrible.
