You could probably trade some rares for it on dota2lounge. People are selling them.

Rather want that duplicate hero http://www.playdota.com/heroes/arc-warden, I wanna try 4x dagon 4x ethereal blade with refresher on this hero Big Grin

Edit: Ew you cant use refresher on him, dream crushed, unless I recast the ulti, guess that can work.
Release arc warden was so broken he made initially remade centaur look like pineappleing broodmother in terms of pub viability.
Jesus pineappleing christ that pomegranate was stupid.

Granted the majority of the 'being broken' came from things working on him that shouldn't be working.

looking at just the mechanical changes to the hero since his release in 6.70 is hilarious. No more magic immunity or disarm on Icarus Dive, and Fire Spirits can't heal and don't grow in power over time. Sun Ray got much better though. Not channeling, heals allies, doesn't drain %mana over time, but no more slow and it has a cooldown.

But man, if people think Treant has a weird relationship with Icefrog... Phoenix takes the cake.

also isn't Winter Wyvern the hero with 3 ults?
wait...
he's a support, right? I could actually see him played as an offlaner with the 1000 range attacks, the heal+invuln, and the 1200 range shards not to mention the ult which has to be great for setting up kills on trilanes.
Double Necro 3 with +80 AS and 100% evasion sounds hilarious. That's over 800 dps, buildings would melt.
Exactly, and remember, MELEE NECRO UNIT HAS A BASE ATTACK TIME OF 0.75.
It was fucking stupid.

He feels more like a wisp to me, needs lvl 6 to forfill his purpose. His ulti can almost ensure a kill on any enemy hero but his shards cant be used in a 1vs1 situation, which means his dmg will be greatly reduced if theres nobody around. I think he'll be used in competitive play for sure, but we might stage into 2-1-2 meta again with wyvern being long lane support with his heal and long range % harrass.

Edit: Arc Warden seem to be easy to lane against the first 3 lvls tho, his flux doesnt do much dmg if you just hug an ally creep and his base dmg along with stat gain will make it hard for him to lasthit. I dont see this guy being played as anything but a short lane support but in my pubs he will be mid and I will rush dagon for sure Big Grin
QPAD FIGHTINGUUUU

this will probably go to a third game at this rate.

Also you should always get drums on arc warden, save 1 charge on drums and make clone and use the final charge on clone, suddenly infinite drum charges.

Edit: Nvm qpad throws, game back to even.

Yup, game over in a game QPAD could've won.
Far too late rotation and they should've just switched up their lanes after getting 2 kills with one being first blood. They had the time and money to do it and it'd improve their mid-game so much.

I think I remember seeing a video of a necro3 warrior soloing Roshan with a nearby team of.. I think it was Invoker, Ogre Magi, Beastmaster, Lycan and Venge giving him massive, massive IAS/damage buffs. It took all of 7 seconds or so.

His shards look like they can be used pretty effectively in a 1v3 situation, which means that once (if) we see aggressive trilane play die down, he could perform well. They can hit up to 1700 units away which is less a skill for a 1v1 and more a skill for snipes and for ranged harass/farming. I probably wouldn't draft him with a mid like Beastmaster, Windrunner, Storm Spirit, Shadow Shaman, Puck, or anyone else who has good setup disables; I'd rather draft him with something like juggermid, TA, Queen of Pain, or Shadow Friend who has a ton of damage but needs setup to get their full damage off and doesn't have that inherently. I'm actually a bit scared about QoP and SF with WW... I'm cringing a bit imagining a level 9 Shadow Fiend going to town like that. Jesus. Especially against melees because of the clumping.
I don't think we'd see a regression to 2-1-2 play any time soon unless Icefraud does something weird with denying and exp gains. Currently he's in a much better position than Wisp as a solo long laner for getting 6 early (current level 6 timing is ~10 minutes for supports in trilane; even with good denying Auroth will hit 6 earlier than that as solo long lane.

gee, ain't this cool:

a first look at the TI3 HUD skin.

but that's not all:
Pyrion Flax announcer!

and more:
Smeevil mount added to schema (in test client)

and when you order now we'll throw in several new HUD's!

Was expecting more of a dark greenish, (since TI3 posters etc use green this year) but it looks better than the default one so I'll take it!

ps: 2-2-1 lanes have always worked great if you need to dodge the trilane and shut down the solo lanes. But if one of your 2 man lanes end up facing the trilane you will lose so much time on moving around the map which means you already lost one lane hard.

Yeah it's kinda sad that we can't both watch on Dota TV and get statsman giving us our necessary stats. I miss bruno popups but I just hate how the casters control the camera...

Same, kinda... I haven't been able to watch qualifiers but I've been watching Dota Curse tournament or whatever and the camera is awful too. They always miss stuff, you can tell because of mini maps or because of "x killed y" message and it's pretty annoying. It's also sad because I wouldn't do it any better so it's practically my best option to watch pro games.

Ah, I forgot. I wanted to know if Axe should always lane or if jungling is fine. I tried him in a bot game and I think I've never farmed jungle so fast. By 6 mins or so it was already lv6 and had 1 core item. The thing is, I always see him lane and most of the guides I saw don't even mention jungle.
Axe is good in both lane and jungle, but in pubs you'll be fine just jungling.
He hard counters a lot of melee mid heroes, pudge literally can't go and lasthit against axe without getting killed, forexample.

Do whatever floats your boat in a specific game.

Axe can jungle but it's heavily RNG dependent because of spin. If you get lucky you win the game because you're overleveled and overfarmed.
He's also quite good for an early rosh. I don't remember who it was (might have been Team Liquid) but some team ran a Luna Axe Dazzle Shadow Demon and... furion (?) comp, did level one rosh which got the Axe Dazzle SD trilane their early level two and the game was over by that point. Dazzle+SD healbomb is amazing, and along with the Battle Hunger it's pretty much a sure kill. But he really does need that early level two in order to have any success.
Eh, axe jungling really isn't that RNG dependant as long as you remember to stack easy camps and get a fast tranquil, with tranquil you'll basically be able to jungle non-stop, i've tried having a camp with barely any spins, but even then it's quite fast.
Normally if you outlvl the entire enemy team and theres no farmed am/naix on the other team you will most likely rape if you buy the rght items. If you can get urn + drums and phase/arcanes before 14 min mark you need to ask your team to group up as 2-3 to put pressure on their carry while your farm freely. But most of the time axe fails, its just so easy to counter him.
Also, arcane boots drum and mekansm axe is fucking ridic, mekansm fits him so much better and is far more effecient for a hero like axe than vanguard.
