Highly doubt it relates to anything that hackers are doing/have done. I'm pretty sure the main thing they're addressing is the SP issues.

Well there are two things to remember from past exploit events.
1. If the new exploit is really profitable to the hackers, you may not know anything about it for weeks or even months. Usually they( the hackers) will only make something public, i.e. the tyrant equp exploit from item genning before magnus is even released, when someone they do not want to find it does.
2. If it will be damaging to the community but not profitable, they usually strike on the weekend when they know they will have the most time to play with it since most of the staff at nexon isnt in-house to address the issue quickly.

There is a chance there could be nothing or nexon somehow patched what they had planned. But I doubt they did that unless they figured out what the hackers had planned to exploit.

With how much of an enemy Nexon is to hackers, who needs friends?
