Orb isn't that fast... looking at just the BannedStory animation and no other reference (since no one uses it in vids), it seems to be ~1 second cast.

Barrage is 2 seconds and 2300%, Orb is 1 second and 900%, making 1800%. On 2 monsters that becomes 2700% in that time.

However, since Barrage gets up to 3x as many hits/second as Orb, stun+SE helps it much, much more. 5300% in 2 seconds vs 2100%.


It doesn't matter, anyway. I'm not anywhere close to 4th job, and to be honest, I don't expect to be XD

Crazy ST-less 4th job build theory - rough outline

120-130: max Dragon Strike
130-140: max Energy Orb
140-150: max Barrage

That's me. Right there, that's me at 4th job. Of course, adding in the early 11 Speed Infusion.

120 : +1 Dragon Strike (1), +1 Energy Orb (1), +1 Speed Infusion (1)
12x : +10 Speed Infusion (11)
12x : +20 Dragon Strike (21)
1xx : +29 Energy Orb (30)
1xx : +xx Stuff (xx)

900% damage for such a fast attack (or fast compared to other skills lol) is pretty good filler for bosses in energized form. Replaces DS in a barrage/DS chain easily, and i can't find any reason why the skill books would be extremely hard to get/expensive since every other brawler goes transform route to leave orb in the dust.

Plus, it looks badass.

... wouldnt you just use drain. Considering how awesome everyone says it is, that would be a better alternative, wouldnt it?

BTW, this was somewhat asked but wasnt a standalone question, so let me ask. How quickly does energy charge fill at bosses, or how often are you in charged state at bosses?

I'm currently level 49 planning on leveling tonight/early tomorrow, so I have a few questions.

• What next? I have 10 HP, 19 Masery, 6 Booster, 19 Screw, 1 Backspin, 1 Double Upper, 1 Barrel, and 1 MP recov. When I level, I'll put one in Screw, but then... what? Get Booster to 9 or 12 for more time? Get DU for more 1v1 damage? Dx
  
• When does grinding out pace PQing? I hate PQ with a passion because it takes too much time to set up. Dx (I still do them because of their speed, but I wish grinding was faster) I'd rather be able to grind away for an hour or two undisturbed than spam "J>PQ" :[
  
• Is it worth getting the level 60 claw or just spending some Coins on the 50 and scrolling it with a few 60%s? Currently Dexless though. Not sure how much money I'll have in the future. Dx

If you have the 20 att hat (who doesn't seriously?), go to C-1 and move to C-2 at 51. I got 60% an hour there without the hat and still do at 53.

For skillz: I would get DU. I was planning on going backspin because it's insanely useful in mobby maps (you'll understand if you hit C-1/2) but i'm planning on hitting voodoos very soon, where DU will be useful. Plus i can hit 4k easily with 14 DU. xD

I started using DU at like level 5ish? Not sure. Even at 11, i only used it a few times in the whole level because there's not many cases where there's a lone monster with no others to make a mob with CSB.

So to recap: cPQ slows down as you hit 50, and Magatia is faster. Backspin is better because it's Screw Punches's little brother? (I actually find myself using it a lot. Only use DU for the stun at Socky.:[)

CPQ slowed down at 44. I went to truckers then. Again, 60% an hour.

Saph says backspin is better because DU doesn't out damage FF until level 17 or something like that. Get whatever you think is better to get first. I went DU, and not regretting it yet.

Yeah, trojans + speed does = secks. xD

I don't know about your server though, but it's impossible to find a lot of challenge parties. The exp from TW sucks completely compared to training at truckers/STDs at that level.

Uhh, if i had to guess i used like less than 200 barbs and 200 supreme pizzas last level (52).

The pot loss has dipped dramatically since my first start there, though. You just have to take advantage of the platforms that let you SSK the monsters below, without taking damage from them.

Also, you'll probably make a lot of money if you find a burning hell. Don't know if those sell for a lot though, but it should since it's a level 60 gun. o.o

So did you basically just go across the map killing them? Or did you hit them all then bring em all to one side of the room and stand of the platforms and kill them, then rinse and repeat?
