How was your day?

Our notorious resident ass'hole of a customer pushed me one too many times today. I may be just a "jumped-up little office boy", but I still have the power to stop your gambling in its tracks.

OT: Day was more productive than usual.

Turns out my 88 year old neighbor is a nuclear physicist and works for an atomic power lab in ties with RPI. He told me about work he is doing - interactions of neutrons with various isotopes inside nuclear reactors. He is specifically looking at interactions with O16 and a 3% discrepancy with other data.

He offered me a job (didn't explain specifics yet) to help him with number crunching and other tasks that are just time consuming.

soooooooooooooooooooo excited/happy! I can do all of the work from home on my laptop.
It's mostly a learning experience and it'll look REALLY good on grad school applications.

Just confirming it's all about who you know.

Tomorrow I'm planning on biking to a game store. 47 mile round trip, bring it!!

Legs were sore earlier but I think I feel accomplished.

I am slowly noticing my stomach shrinking from all this exercise.

Bought an electric blanket and sweatpants. Let the lounging begin.

Finished a painting in a total of three nights. Its quite a beautiful piece too, though I kinda did ask the girl out that I painted, so Im a bit biased on this one.

Pics of the painting to come tomorrow. For now, Im off to bed for 6 hours of sleep before my final critique at 10:30 AM.

SPRING13 complete! Done with Accounting (for now...?), and registered today for classes in the fall to finish the computer science degree I started a few years ago.

Currently in my last class of the semester.

Four hour drive ahead of me. I'm okay with that though. Long drives are relaxing and I get to really enjoy my music.

Edit: Minor detail/achievement: I'm now a Jr. in my guild \o/ yay.

It was nerve-wracking, but I finally -After 4 months- had the nerve to ask my teacher to have a private meeting with her after class only to be told that she had a meeting for today. I'll have to ask her to diagnose me tomorrow.
Bought some black Vans because I needed new shoes and these resembled Colress's shoes very well. I need them for this custom outfit I commissioned a while back.
Had wontons and egg noodle in Swanson broth for lunch. Drenched it in red vinegar because I like the taste of red vinegar in soups.
Am now super excited because I'm going to test those custom clothes for fitting and to check on the design tomorrow.
Yay, Mom just found me some smexy black dress socks for the testing of the custom clothes tomorrow! Can't wait to show everyone! ^^

My GPA is now 3.79.

I feel like our hard work is finally starting to pay off.
We talked to an expert and he even said that if we wanted to work a bit extra on it we could even get our findings published as an article, pretty good feeling.
Today was good and copepods are interesting beings.

Today started out fantastic.
I did my final speech of high school today, and I did it dressed up in a superman t-shirt, superhero underwear over my pants, and a giant red sheet used as a cape.
The speech was an instructional one teaching my listeners how to become amazing superheros, and it was basically filled to the brim with racy jokes and sarcasm.
I went a shocking 5 minutes over the recommended time, but I still aced it even with the points knocked off. The entire class was really into it and I was having a blast up there.
It's also my last week of high school (is a senior) so I'm pretty excited.

But then... something hit me.
First, some backstory. For my entire life I have lived with a variety of big dogs. From Yellow Labs to Huskies. But about 10 years ago we got this golden retriever named Rocco. From the minute we got him me and him were basically best bros. Everyone in the house considers him to be my dog, and he's served as my actual therapy dog for... about 10 years helping me with my Asperger's syndrome and dealing with family drama. He's been an absolutely fantastic dog.

Now, sometime this last weekend my parents were discussing how Rocco has gotten a lot weaker recently. He hasn't be eating much, drinking much, and he's been having trouble breathing. I basically dismissed it, and tried to ignore it as much as possible.
It never hit me... until today. I was grilling some food for myself before a work-session, and Rocco just slowly approached me and laid down at my feet. His nose was completely dry, and his breathing sounded really hoarse. I quickly fetched him a small tupperware of water and a slice of bread. I just sat down next to him and slowly fed him the bread and let him drink his water. It really sunk in during those few minutes. He's one old dog now... and it's nearing his time. If he doesn't improve, we'll most likely be putting him down soon. Everyone in the house is a giant wreck right now because of this, and it's making it impossible for me to work.

So yeah, today was... pretty hit and miss to say the least.

These long-sleep days are becoming a constant thing now. :v Regularly going to bed at 1-2 and waking up at ~12.

Final critique for my painting was pushed back til Wednesday :\ Though peeved that I didnt find out til today, Im glad. I busted out a really nice piece in only 3 days, and I now have more time to refine it even more. Part of me wishes it was just done though.

Two more finals to go till the end of the year, yay! My only concern is my quarter GPA, which is sitting at 2.5...Like, this is what I get for slacking off this quarter.

I woke up to my friend telling me that my ex regrets not putting more efforts in our conversations back when we dated. His remorse does not phase me, but I will admit that it gave me the last bit of closure I have always wanted.

Oh. The guy I like wants to mail me a souvenir he got me in Toronto. I didn't even know lol
I'm gonna mail him a mix tape CD and a card as a small sign of thanks.
