Took a look at the Nexon "careers" page

MountLag Wrote:Strange how they don't just decide to automatically flag or ban anything that is highly suspicious, such as botters looting 500m+ worth of mesos from monsters or something.
Seems like that would lead to a lot of legit players being auto banned from grinding at the same location for too long.

And hackers can replace whole accounts a dime a dozen with little to no investment or attachment, while real players lose months if not years.

Hmm I see, thanks for answering my question.
I always wished back then that I could somehow join this group but the chances of that happening were 0%.

A pretty long time ago when GM's suddenly became more active I was in contact with a GM in Windia who was often whispering me/stalking me asking
if I saw any hackers because I used to report tons. We talked a lot but after a mistake he made with me he disappeared. (He got me stuck in happyville by warping me).

Anyway, the reason i'm saying this is because when he used to follow me around places and saw 20 different people with almost the same IGN's
he banned them right on the spot. But I found the very same people back the very next day. I never understood that.. was there some policy that
someone has to get a tempban first? (Seems highly unlikely) I never got the chance to ask the GM I was in contact with myself which was a shame really.. and odd.

I'm sorry if i'm asking to many questions and especially things you might not even know but I can't help wondering about it.

Wow I didn't expect...all of this to happen.
I hope you guys don't get hit with a lawsuit from Nexon for violating your NDAs.
You're some really nice people, and that'd be terrible.
And I'd feel partly responsible for that.

No problem, I expected that haha.
It was worth a shot.

Now you know what they do all the time at Nexon Rolleyes

You can say it is a library for reference or just a break fun thing. Providing perks isn't a bad thing.

MountLag Wrote:Man I don't like these rent-a-GMs coming into my Empress runs and dcing me. I know it's them since on more than one occasion I was lagging and I typed something to them then the lag stopped.

You might want to be careful calling them out when they are in invisible mode. For them, a player knowing that they are there when they are invisible is considered proof that you are a hacker and grounds for banning. I know you are sensing their presence from lag or loss of aggro , but they might be poorly trained or just looking for any excuse to fill their quota of bans.

Oh yeah, I remember the MWLB. I made it past the first round of applications but then being the idiot I am I publicly posted the round 1 interview questions Rolleyes.

There's always the chance that with Hime gone your lifetime ban from anything, ever, has been forgotten.

Ah.. I might have missed it in a post, but could someone explain what MWLB was again? I seem to have forgotten..

Though yeah, I must say I feel kind of bad for the GMs who get the job but don't have a single clue on what they got themselves into. I don't mean it in a bad way, of course, but it just might be so confusing/overwhelming/different for them that they can't give a definite answer or it seems like they're doing a poor job or something of the like.

This actually opened up my mind a bit more than it was, ahaha.

Oh I'm not too worried about that, figured the game isn't worth playing anyway if I end up getting false banned. But thanks for the suggestion.

Most of the time there's no lag or aggro change from an invisible GM being present. I do see a lot of mobs in Scrubby Garden on my runs though. Mobs do not spawn there unless somebody gets warped there, and mobs on any map do not move when there's nobody on the map.

This has actually helped me gain insight into some process that GMs go through towards banning. I usually screenshot hackers in action using things like kami/dupex however I guess getting video footage would be even more damning evidence. Though some are pretty set-in-stone kinda obvious even in screenshots. The majority have CC hacks also which makes it quite hard to catch them though it usually just sets it to a different channel same area so surfing a bit makes it easy. Due to load lag it is best to enter an area before the one you want to check because it loads faster than just CC in the same area. If you did that then you'd never catch one in the act except seeing a red dot on your map.

If Nexon can actively post on Southperry after trying to CnD us, I think I might stand a chance Rolleyes.
