(my thoughts)
Normal shops should be allowed, as the time you could have spent training and making money is now spent AFKing on the chance of making money. There's a fair tradeoff with normal shops, but mushies allow people to make money without any tradeoff at all, giving them a major edge on everyone else (set up mushy, sell stuff while doing something else in game, get money, buy more mushies, use money obtained to merchant, repeat 100x).
LHC should be allowed, but only if you're doing it alone. Skillbooks are stupid, so having one extra opportunity for one is nice.
I think that the NLC rule should specifically refer to: Jesters, aliens, scarecrows, skeletons (heavily implied, but not explicitly stated).

I don't really give a crap either way, but do you really think given our current standings ANY of us could make the money back from the NX it costs to manage a merchant? >_>; No, no way in hell.

I think it's fair that instead of dictating (if that's even the right word here...) new rules and changes, it gets proposed, and voted on under a strict deadline with a time stamp and date. Majority wins.
Just my two cents.

Seeing as Broa is currently lacking in population in general, according to a GMS server population tracker I just found.
How many southperry members are in Broa? I know I play in broa a lot on my bowmaster at the least.
But it really depresses me that this many people are going against the rules. I thought half the fun was struggling with the guild to level as a group, breaking the rules just ruins the point of the guild in general. I can get why people do it, but it's just sad really.
I also feel that we should keep the rules simple and easy to understand.
I feel that having a bunch of vague exceptions will just confuse people. Not to mention many are hard to keep track of, and I don't feel they would be worth the trouble.
Though I second... third... fourth the idea of shop permits being allowed.

This problem is getting blown out of proportion. I only see two people who used Monster Park Extreme in this thread, one of whom apologized. That's less than 5% of the guild.

I guess, but then it leads back to the main reason why I stopped playing Maple in the first place. I wasn't enjoying myself playing the game. I can't force myself to play something that I'm starting to fall back into.
We'll see. I probably just need a break again since I've been playing it rather hardcore in addition to my Heroic raiding in WoW.

A break sounds like a good idea. I do agree that you shouldn't let cheaters get to you, their fault if we find out and they end up getting expelled because of it. The ones that really matter are the ones who actually care about the project!
I've decided to slow down on training myself because I'd been rushing into it and kind of not making it fun for myself either. It's funny because I was leveling hardcore to catch up to everyone who was so high leveled since I started so late, and now that I'm past most of everyone, I didn't really stop.
In other news:
Got Spirit Link 20 from my Silent Crusade book, and yeahsureokuhhuh got me Hurricane 20, both worked! I'm getting there. ^-^ Just need Bow Expert 20/30, AFA30 and Hurricane 30 now... I'll probably try to farm spiders or something because fusing things only made me lose money that I desperately needed.

Mmmmm, @Patt and @Mazz would you two by any chance allow a handful of us to start another Project Nostalgia in another world?
Using the same rules, and same guild name if you'd like.
Some Southperrians, including myself, would have like to join yall but thought twice seeing everyone progress so far already.

There are still people starting out, and I wouldn't let that discourage you! I started pretty late myself and I'm doing pretty well.
That's just me, though. I say keep it as one community. :o

You can do whatever you want. There are a bunch of people still at pretty low levels here though and everyone is friendly, and it would probably be better to keep it as one group rather than branching off into various other servers. One large community would be more fun than a couple of small ones I imagine.

I have a second character in the guild specifically at a lower level in order to help fill in PQ spots for late-comers.

I guess I'm missing some pretty good stuff at the moment. I'm taking a small break from this Project, only to level my Aran to lvl170. I'll come back in a few days again though and hopefully I can join some Zak runs or something like that. Don't level too fast, I don't wanna be outlevel'd by you guys! c:

Finished Zakum quests today!
The teeth weren't nearly as annoying as I thought they would be, guess that's one one the benefits of being a bishop!
Mazz and I are going to go on a bossing spree tomorrow, including Zak in case anyone wants to join!
