lol What's sad is they're going to dump all those scrolls on tyrants/other gears ASAP, on friend's accounts, mule accounts, etc, and then they will be hopeful that there is no rollback, then all these these 200 ATT/MATT cape/shoes/belts will be common and the damage would be done.

An exploiter can start throwing all those scrolls in the ground right now for everyone to loot and start scrolling millions of things with nothing to lose since they're already getting chain banned anyways, but will the looters get banned if they rid of these scrolls by using them? I doubt it.

On one of the hacking videos on youtube (there are so many) they mentioned that this meso exploit is to "celebrate" the mapleversary and that "new, suprising hacks" will be released on the 16th. so yeah, woo.

Judging from the comments it looks like they do it for fun. They treat new hacks like they are a product, or a new piece of content to have fun with. while we have fun playing the game, they have fun destroying it.

Just those kinds of people I guess, who like causing chaos just for the sake of it.

They really don't give a pineapple, they don't have main characters, Maple Story is easily exploited and they can do the craziest things people never thought could ever happen.

So what ever punishment Nexon gives them is funny to them, they don't care for ip/hwid bans, it's easily circumvented.

What's worse is that the normal players often encourage it, they will sit there in crowded maps talking with hackers, asking them how they do it. makes the hackers feel popular and cool >_>

Which I'm sure is what the hackers plan for. They know Nexon doesn't work on the weekends. The more delay there is in a response to such exploits, the less likely there will be for a rollback, thus more profit for the hackers :I

Jesus those scrolls. This is utterly ridiculous. I find it hilarious that all these hackers have to do is release/abuse something like this on the weekends and the entire game goes to s'hit.

Idk if I should even train during today's 2x event if there is a possibility of a rollback. Hell at this point there had better be one because I cannot see how this can possibly be contained by banning some accounts.

I've been dying to say this for ages now, but thought it would be too obvious a joke D:

Always somethin'. Why are these items even obtainable in the game if they aren't in use for the events and such.

If they were ever used once, you can't remove them from the data on the off chance that someone still has them. It would probably break their characters due to undefined data(something I doubt they handle gracefully), I imagine.

That's one of the reasons expiring items is actually a good idea, however even then it's not handled properly to be able to remove them from the data, because the item still exists when you log on until the game realizes it has expired. I've had items sit in my inventory for hours before the game went, "Oh crap! This is old! DELETE IT DELETE IT DELETE IT!"

Well, there's really two reasons I can think of off the top of my head.
1) They're the type of person that wants to point out how terribly flawed MapleStory is and how easy it is to break it...which is obviously very easy considering all the ridiculous hacks that have been coming out recently.
OR
2) They think it's hilarious and they want to break the game for the hell of it (IE, the video posted).

I don't know about you guys, but I'm still going to go about my day as I normally would.
If I sit around and do nothing and they don't rollback, I waste a day and lose out on quite a bit of money I could have made.
If I do my daily routine and they do rollback, I just lose a few hours of my time.

It's entirely possible for them to take care of this without rolling back, but if they do, I don't mind losing a few hours of my time over it.
