Luigi wins by doing absolutely nothing.

Could very well eddit the PvP results screen in between the matches, but hey I only mentioned that as an option.

Lets end it here.

It's fine if you don't find it funny, but going out of your way to edit something like that is kinda unlikely. Also, I didn't mean the results, I meant the matches themselves, the icons at the bottom of the screen.

Finding something humorous is completely subjective, but I wouldn't discredit the entire point of the video (which is that Luigi is awesome) just because someone went out of their way to make it.

ANYWAY

LUIGI = AWESOME.

byakugan Wrote:Sorry but I can't really find this funny if it was set up. Like recording hours of gameplay only to compile 10 minutes out or if the game was edited to make the AI terribly stupid or it was an actual player pretending to be the CPU. In any case this seems totally unnatural.

Jeebus, who cares if it's staged or it took over 9000 hours? It's a set of fails achieved by doing absolutely nothing, and many people find it funny. Few people won't find it funny because it's not "real", and you happen to fall on that spectrum. It's like not finding Tool-Assisted Runs amusing because it's "staged" but can achieve incredibly hilarious results, vs Speed Runs which use no tools at all and just shows how fast one can clear a game with just human reflexes alone. Yes I'm complaining about complaining.

If you play agains the lv 9 CPU on those maps without moving, they ALWAYS do that moveset leaving to their own demise. At least some/most of them. Lv 9 CPU in melee was known for being quite weird.

EDIT: This is more evident on lv 9 Fox. Where since he doesn't even touch Luigi, gets trapped on a loop, since both starting positions set the moves in action. I remember doing it on my own game, and if you have items on, it's enough to break the loop. Some others were just guesses. Oh, and it's not only with Luigi, works with anyone if I remember correctly.

This also works with average-sized characters with lv4 opponent.

Years ago when I played Smash all the time with my friend we noticed Lv9 CPUs would kill themselves VERY often. Lv9 just makes them sporadic, I guess trying to somewhat emulate ''twitchy'' skilled play, but they can't quite pull it off. I believe it was like 7~8 that has them performing at their best.

Lv9 really just pumps them with caffeine and they go full retard, so I can definitely see a lot of those being totally legit.

Edit: Would have been better to end the video with Luigi vs Luigi as the final match and they tie somehow.

The thing is that they are predicting your movements. They aren't going full retard, the CPU is too good for its own good xD

It's really funny because elite pros find level 9s impossible to defeat, since they always manage to break their combos somehow.

If you're ''too good'' to the point where you become complete crap then you aren't ''good'' at all.

Again, it's trying to emulate higher skill but it CAN'T so it essentially ''breaks'' itself and becomes WORSE as a result.

I find it hard to believe any ''elite pro'' has any trouble with Lv9's considering little Timmy and his friends have no trouble with 9's at all.

As someone that used to play smash till dawn, this is the hilarious possibility that could show up in SmashBrosU. I really hope this isn't the case, and they put it in for lv 0 dummy characters instead.

I have always wanted to see an unlockable difficulty that emulates button mashing. Unlockable by beating everything or secret code Konami Style.
