3DS Discussion thread:Tomodachi Life: Now with Singing Morgan Freeman

I'm really not a huge fan of the art style for the Yoshi and Zelda games, very bland looking from the screens they released. I think they could have been much better stylized. It does look a bit better after viewing the 3D video on the eShop, the 3D effect is nice but as with most people i'm not a huge fan of it in general. But at least the gameplay will be solid, i like that they are keeping the top down approach for Zelda.

Earthbound, cool and all but nothing huge for me. If it was an English Mother 3 release then I would be exited.

Shin Megami Tensei 4 better come with the special 3DS XL.

Bravery Default in English! Cool, 2014 eh? Not so cool. But at least it is coming.

I kind of like the Luigi 3DS, they even managed to sneak Mario on the back.

Well at least the latest Famitsu has something. July 25th release + free DLC Costumes for early adopters. Phoenix’s old suit, outfit for Apollo designed by artist Kazuya Nuri and a Schoolgirl outfit for Konkone. It also confirmed Apollo will be playable in some courtroom scenes.

They also revealed the new prosecutor, who is under arrest for murder.

I'm not sure how I feel about A Link to the Past 2 yet. Happy to finally see another top down Zelda game that doesn't seem to have horrid touch controls as the main focus of the gameplay, but meanwhile...a sequel to A Link to the Past? Why? Have they run out of ideas or something?

A Link to the Past is Shigeru Miyamoto's favorite Zelda game and this is something he has been wanting to do for a long time.

I wonder if it'll involve the very same Link. If it does, it'll probably take place before the Oracle games. I say that, because in Hyrule Historia, they say that no one knows what happened to Link after the events of Link's Awakening, so that means Link must never have made it back to Hyrule, unless they want to retcon that and continue from there, which I don't mind.

If they use the same Link again, that's 5 games for the very same hero. As badass as that Link already is, he'll only be even more so.

But we already had a crap paper mario game on 3DS. Why would we want another one when we have Mario and Luigi to look forward to?

We do not speak of the last two Paper Mario games.




The one on the 3DS was okay but it didn't have that same magic feel. I know it isn't nostalgia, the old games are just better :/

I guess "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." applies here, because I'm no longer interested in a Paper Mario game if it comes out.

I think the "link's death, dark world" timeline is fun because i enjoy fighting ganon moreso than I do fighting ganondorf. (other than the fact that I have an affinity for Alttp + Oracles +awakening). I still got to go finish the main 2 games in the series i havent beaten yet. Original and Links adventure. problem is, I dont own a 3ds for this =(.

i feel kinda sad because one thing i loved about TTLP was the sprites (probably because i haven't really liked the latest handheld zelda games as much as their console versions. hope this one isn't like that. and has a good story (that doesn't require me on a show of "pimp my ship")

Outside of the wall drawing thing, which seems to be a silly gimmick to me, the gameplay definitely looks solid. I only watched about 4 minutes, but I didn't see any touch controls at all.

Hmm. Edgeworth doesn't have his glasses shown in his artwork on in those screenshots. Flashback trials again maybe? But the phoenix picture next to it has him with his unbuttoned shirt, implying current day phoenix. Maybe edgeworth just doesn't wear them in court or something. Speculation!

Which one would you consider the better one? I've played Seasons when it came out but i never completed it.

The general consensus is that Ages is the better one. I haven't played either one of them since they were released originally, so I'm not able to give a personal opinion there. However, chronologically, Seasons comes before Ages.

I freaking love my 3DS. So many great games on one single system. This is probably the greatest gaming system I own at the moment. I have what? 9 Zelda games on it alone? And 3 Metroid games. Awesome.

if you want my opinion on seasons vs ages(i owned seasons, did speed runs multiple times, friend owned ages, i played it through emulator), I thought Seasons was more "fun" but ages was much more difficult if you prefer to have a slightly higher difficulty in the game. generally, people liked ages more
