Boss Battles Thread

I honestly did not think this was possible with only 20% Status Resistance but I said what the hell and went for it anyway. I was really reliant on Megiddo Flame (basically just going in and using it asap, setting up a Poison Mist, and then spamming Paralyze until she decided to cage me to death). Seemed to work pretty well apparently. Pretty sloppy though since this was my first attempt at her Post-Hypers.

Status resistance does nothing at hard mode hilla and all skills have a 100% chance of giving their respective debuff.

Just destroying Vellum with [MENTION=4277]HeroDDC[/MENTION]; and [MENTION=5228]Razmos[/MENTION]; nbd.

Well then. That's news to me.

With a 272k range buffed I did it. First try using a resistance pot, was quite scared after it kept healing during the 10 minute mark >.> didn't count heals

How do you guys even solo Hard Hilla? I keep trying on my Kaiser and my problem isn't my DPS but rather that she keeps Caging/Seducing/Pot Locking me consistantly.

Wait till she cages again before reviving. And I think there's no more cage after she turns white.

I'm still too scared of soloing so here's a duo czak with my friend [MENTION=11388]Soulenite[/MENTION]. There was another one with a DS friend of mine and we also went to evo empress. It' wasn't too too bad. Forgot to ss both of them though. >.>

First post-Season 2 boss defeat, hell yeah!



That flame is a level 120 flame that did nuts for my cane and those other two things are part of our Expedition Support event that allows us to get a 10 ATT/MATT title if we get enough but hell if I know how many do we need. My horrid timing can be attributed to how my range and DPS dropped like a Titanic in the sky and as her attacks now do % based damage it's entirely possible to get caught up in them and get killed.

I was going to post Zakum too but eh, I need to find my EoFs first.

Eurghhhh. Now I remember why I don't play this class anymore.

The buff duration sucks and have a long casting time, and there are 7 of them! it's hard to keep track of.
Dragon Strike is nice against normal enemies, but at Zakum it is practically worthless. I thought it would be awesome at hitting the arms, but for whatever reason it was only doing 1 hit rather than 2 and couldn't target them because they were always moving. Buccaneer Blast was my only alternative, and while it has nice range and damage it is SO slow and boring.
My status resist is crap and I was being sealed every time I unsealed myself and being 1/1ed every single attack

Also kept getting stun locked because this job has the worst mobility in the game. It's rush skills would have worked nicely for mobility, but they don't move you unless there is an enemy there. So with no flash jump, no rush skills of any sort and no teleport I was basically trying to walk out from under Zakum's columns and failing.

Don't think i'm going to touch this class again until it gets a much needed revamp.
