Item Drops and Finds Version 2 - Post BB
iAmFear Wrote:There's no difference between Flamed items and items dropped with additional options

This is great news. This means i can go ahead and do upgrades normally without caring about being weaker in the end. Except for 150 stuff...that's still a waiting game.

Do 140 flames only drop from cygnus? I'm wondering how they could have been in such supply for them to be as low as 50m, even though i know the economy is massively different. If it's like, from cygnus and CHT, then we will have a lot less since we're still stuck at 30 people per SC unless it is fixed.

Hijack the thread a bit: what does the (future) recipe for Stone of Eternal Life require?

Jelly! Sigh I'm still stuck with Spigelmann's Autograph (IIRC it's name is that).

Look what I got.

Not that big a deal, now look where I got it from. Hilla's Bloodfangs in the room before the boss room dropped it. Rather surprising.

iAmFear Wrote:Being a boss item only affects the number of stats that are above, you can still get crap on them, like Empress weapons without an attack bonus, but since boss items have more above stats, there's a higher chance of getting something good. It doesn't matter if it was dropped or flamed, some items are simply Boss Items and are naturally better, I think Danny should have items tagged as "Boss Items" or something in his extractions, as that was one of the new variables found, if I remember correctly. There's no difference between Flamed items and items dropped with additional options, except if you use Flamed items to reset stats of an item that didn't previously have a scissor count, which would give you only 5 trades vs 10~20 of a 140+ item dropped with additional options.

Do these counts account for tradeable items and storage? And for clarifications sake, flaming that gives it additional options in the first place do not add to a scissor count? Or ONLY after you attempt a reset?

It counts when you use the scissors, and no, using a flame at all will give an item a scissor count. If you ever use a flame, the item becomes untradeable after you equip it, so there's no tradeable items with scissor counts. You can trade it as much as you want, as long as it was a tradeable item in the first place, before you equip it.

So basically any dropped item that comes with additional options or flamed at all with be placed with scissors? Is there such a thing as a fully tradeable additonal options item in general?

It's not conditional, all items that drop have additional options, except the few items that aren't able to have it, but no, items that are dropped don't necessarily have scissor counts, only items above 140. Maybe 131+, I believe Loveless weapons also have scissor counts, but I don't know.

Basically, the only items with scissor counts are:
- All items over 140, or 131+, as I said above.
- Items that were flamed.

Current 140+ items won't automatically gain scissor counts, though, so as long as you don't flame your Empress stuff you can trade them as long as you want and have the scissors for it.

The last sentence conflicts this statement. Lets say, a fully tradeable pendant at lv100, will gain a count if flamed?

Yes.

Wait, what's the conflict, exactly? As long as you don't flame something, it won't have a scissor count unless it's 140+ and it drops after additional options are added (so, not the 140 items that you currently have)

I got confused with the wording.
Thanks. Now i know what i dont want to flame..
Last question.....how do flames work with sharing tag items?
