I guess some people are wondering why she's leaving for the same reasons they wondered why NXJoe and or NXProse were let go. Some people thought those two GM's were fired.

If you believe what they say, sure. But there are always conspiracy theories. We don't know if Hime was popular amongst her colleagues, or was she happy or have learned many useful things all these times.

Unless someone really close to her does an Oprah tell-all style interview, we will never find out the truth.

I met her at a nexon event. She seemed very happy and easy-going and the employees all seemed to like her as well.

It's a shame that one of the most vocal Nexon employees is leaving. I hope they get somebody else to take her place, because the only other vocal nexon employee I know of is Girasol (who does a pretty good job on here).

I don't frequest Maple nexon forums but the dragon nest forums has a really really really good gm/cm (one very vocal, one moreso on content issues). Tekonos

- communicates with people on the forum in serious and non-serious ways
- has a 0 backlog on tickets, your ticket gets solved usually within a day or two tops unless it's something really serious or it's non-business hours
- Is actually patrolling in-game, sometimes even using smegas to talk to people
- A gold seller uses an smega? Ban. An NX seller using an smega? Ban/warning
- You do something stupid like purchase the wrong NX item? Submit a ticket and tekonos will fix your purchase
- We have a problem with event rewards or something in-game? Expect a fix + compensation

Honestly what tekonos does is everything I expect out of a GM/CM and I wish maple would follow his/her example.

I read somewhere that she got paid barely above minimum wage. How many people with that kind of salary decide they'll retire before 40? Even if she made say, 40k a year, that's still not something to retire with after working for a mere 5-6 years.

That means, I read more about the situation after my first post. Also, if you really want to have this discussion about retirement, then this isn't the place to do it.
You do not know what jobs she had prior to this one. Should could have possibly been saving for retirement even at an young age disregarding what salary she had before. I don't know how old she is, and I definitely do not know the job experience she had. My post was nothing more than a mere possibility.

I'm sorry to say this but I'm not too sure what you're trying to imply or drive at here.

Hime is, at best, an employee of Nexon, but is not Nexon. If you have issues with Nexon, don't take it out on those leaving it for one reason or another. If she did offend you, whether professionally or personally, then that has everything to do with you two, and nothing to do with us, even if some of us may like Hime irrationally.

Personally, while I agree that Nexon used her very roughly, I believe quite a bit of what she did could have been done better, if she truly cared. For example, you'd think that in so many years of being on the MapleStory team, she'd know just a tad bit more about the game. Now, I know she wasn't ever paid to play it, and not everyone's a gamer or otherwise enjoys Mapling in their free time. Still, "she did her best for us" isn't very accurate, when it was obvious she couldn't even understand our concerns much of the time.

Anyway, I hope for her that this opportunity she got now will give her more satisfaction, and not just more money. And that her replacement does better for the Maple community than she did.

My impression of her was that she did not care enough for the job, for whatever reasons; or that she did not have enough of the right care for the right job. If that is so, I hope the replacement will care enough to do a better job than Hime did, and that she will fill a job that she cares for more than now.

That Reddit Q&A left a sour aftertaste of her, but I certainly don't wish her ill.
